Can we continue the winning habit into the New Year? A large away support will help. Here is the LINK for match day tickets.

Plenty of dropped points today for those teams above us. Huge incentive to win now - it would mean a jump into 5th place. Come on you U’s!

Will be very tough game, bromleys defence was excellent on boxing day (except when it cane to picking up JC) and our attacking players will have to be at their best today. Would be very happy with a point to continue our unbeaten run.

I think we would need a 10-0 win today to get 5th. The tables are different between Google and the NL site though, one has Harrogate on 49 points and the other 47!

Harrogate conceded a stoppage-time equaliser, which leaves them on 47 points. A draw this evening will see us move into 7th; a win and it's the dizzy heights of 5th.

Much better 2nd half but overall can’t complain. Had 3 sitters 2nd half. Paid the price for being a bit aerially weak.

Any chance we could learn to defend far post corners? That was the difference between at least a point and nothing, very disappointing to concede from yet more set pieces, been a real achilles heel this season. 3 points each between the two games definitely fair, although two draws would have been more realistic, there was nothing between the sides and to be frank there's a rizla between most of the teams in the league. At least we dont have to play them again......(tempts fate). here's hoping Collins' injury was just a knock as Pearce badly needs his leadership alongside him.

Correct me if I am wrong but cannot remember having a shot in the second half until we conceded the second goal. Certainly had no corners. Did not win a single aerial challenge up front. Bromley have worked us out.

2nd half. Asante-Thomas - keeper made a good save low down. Jonah’s follow up just wide. Pearce had a free shot not much more than 7/8 yards out from a set piece (after JC won a header). Bolarinwa had a tap in which he put over. Couple of softish efforts from outside the box (Eastmond has a couple).

Very disappointing performance. Despite change in personnel long ball tactic continues to have little impact. Best moves came from Dale Bennett getting to byline.

Defeat No5 for us against an average side. I thought 2 1 was a fair result over the 90 mins. Even first half, we were poor in the 2nd half.
I remember the sub coming on just before the second goal and I said to those around me "there we go, deep corner and this guy will head it in". Sadly I was right to the smallest detail.
So that's Aldershot, Bromley, Boreham Wood, Maidenhead and Barrow that have beaten us this season. All very average sides that won't be challenging for much at the end of the season (although Maidenhead may be for survival).
On the positive there were some very good performances out there today - 3 of the back 4, Kenny, Harry. But we failed to capitalise on it. Seasons are not won and lost at game 27 and we've won the previous 3 so no need to panic in the slightest. We've have a bit of an upheaval with players and they will take time to get to know each other more. We really only need 2 wins in the last 19 to achieve goal 1...survival.
