A busy day of news concerning our club but on Saturday the busy schedule continues as we host Harrogate in what is a reverse of the opening day's fixtures.
After an excellent start to the season where they even topped the division, Harrogate have just dropped away slightly and find themselves only one point ahead of us in the table in 6th and without a win in their last four league games.
Seeing skip limp off (with what looked like a calf strain) on New Years Day I'm guessing he'll be missing for a couple weeks - hopefully Thomas and Brown are nearing a return from injury to bolster our numbers.
Should be a good game this one - looking forward to it!

I think Dos said that Thomas wouldn't return until the end of January. Bailey could cover centre back if either Beckwith or Pearce get injured with Mason coming on at left back which i believe is his natural position. Looks like Worner will have the gloves.

Now, that was exciting.
Credit to both teams for a hard fought and entertaining match.
Worth freezing your arse off for.

All credit to Harrogate today, it's a difficult league, as we well know, yet they tried to play "football" whilst so many teams seem to play a version of the game with limited passing and skill, preferring the hopeful punt up field.
Spoke to a couple of their fans today too (much better without segregation) who were good company in the exciting second half. Good to see them doing ok in their first season at this level, and whilst we have gone above them on the back of this result they are close enough to Dos's magic 52 points to expect them to have a second season. (Of course it's possible we won't be playing them again though.)

Good win against a footballing side. 1- 0 up but not comfortable as Harrogate came at us and got a deserved equaliser. We needed an extra midfielder on and Davis was the man. We regained control of the game and Harry provided us with the winner and had to tough out the last 5-10 mins under some pressure.
On to Spennymore next Saturday in the trophy and hopefully their pitch will hold up.

Thought we changed the game with them attacking subs dont think Harrogate could handle the pace of them

Out of the last 5 Vanarama League games Sutton has scored the most points-12, (and God forbid Bromley in 13th), but doesn’t that tell you something about our wonderful club, some people might have a moan about our playing but we get the results and the position proves it. Long live the DOS 👨✈️
