I can see both sides of this argument but will say in some situations where the current administration is setting a club up to fail in the long term - through bad business practices both financial and ethical that are likely to lead to the club ending up worse off in whatever way - not giving money/going to see the team play is NOT turning one's back on the club, it's potentially helping it by getting the current administration to give up and go away because nobody wants to watch their team. If they only care about money then they won't stay. Continuing to give them money will just help them destroy the club. We've seen it happen. If my club were in that situation I still wouldn't give up and form a new club/support someone else though. Probably I would look at forming a supporters' trust or something. Give that money instead of the club. Then when the main club looks like failing you may - depending on how many of you there are and how much money you have - have a safety net. I'm surprised there's never been a Stamford Fc or similar considered the number of peeps priced outta the Shed who used to frequent Tone's Bar. Gone but not forgotten. There is a Stamford FC - they play 15 miles north of Peterborough The Daniels! Named after the fattest man in Britain (or the whole world, I can't remember).

Surely that has to be one of the most obscure nicknames for any club? I enjoy a bit of groundhopping as a neutral anyway, but thank you for that - pretty certain I'll be visiting stadium and churchyard within the next season or two on the strength of that!

Stamford is a beautiful town. One of my favourite places! Definitely now on my list, as is Grantham, just up the main line. I'm told that's also a very nice town and at the end of the day I can't allow myself to resent the whole place for spawning the devil(!)

It's especially nice down by the river. Make sure you visit the Green Man. Lovely beer and Lincolnshire sausages

I was wondering how Financial Fair Play deals with this.
To be honest I don't really know how it works. Is it just there to help the existing clubs to stop any competition to their monopoly?

Nobody knows how FFP works - today. It was easy to deduce how it worked under Blatter and Platini. If they were asked 'Does this look suspicious?' They could not see that it did because all the bribes in front of their eyes obscured the view. Ever wondered why you can see through the new bank notes?
Now Guilty as Hell Manchester City have been exposed, so far so good, but not punished. Until they are - your assessment: that it is to stop any of the existing European moneybags clubs being displaced by a cash rich upstart again, is correct.

I really welcomed Manchester City's emergence. At least it annoyed their neighbours.

Yes, when you have to advertise your home champions league games on Absolute FM,you know there's a problem.

Absolute Radio, which of course used to be Virgin Radio back in the day when Chris Evans was on it and his Ginger Media company owned it. They also had a page sponsor in the matchday programme back in around 2000 and I think sponsored the away coach travel if memory serves me right.
It has gone full circle now and there is a new Virgin Radio station which Chris Evans is the breakfast host of. I wonder if we'll see the sponsorship back in the programme 🤔
