I think there might be a bigger problem if you are listening to Absolute Radio! That's a bit harsh - it might be on at their workplace It is on in the office and to be fair, Absolute 90s is as good as it gets - I can at least enjoy a nostalgia trip rather than being subjected to (although this does happen, sadly, at times) to Magic, Heart, Kiss etc!

At one time I believe Chris Evans was going out with Barry Aplin's daughter and sponsored first team away travel. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes, I remember wondering why he was sponsoring the coaches at the time. A quick look at his Wikipedia page confirms he was dating Suzi Aplin some time between 1998 and 2001. I'm not sure how he had time for all those girlfriends between his marriages but he managed somehow!

It looks like Paul Scholes will have to pull out too if he takes the manager's job at Oldham.

Noisy neighbours is all City are, they’ll never be as big as United - they fail to sell out their ground pretty much every home game. Yes, when you have to advertise your home champions league games on Absolute FM,you know there's a problem. But City have won the league twice since that other lot last won it.

It’s amazing what an unlimited supply of money from an authoritarian, bigoted, no human rights regime can help a club achieve
