OK so I'll start the thread this time, knowing who starts it won't make a blind bit of difference to the score and knowing that more often than not we under perform at York Road.
Maidenhead - funny old side. Looked doomed a couple of months ago, but have had some decent form recently which has put a bit of light between them and relegation. But they're another side that go and beat Leyton Orient away then lose at home to Braintree.
Going on our past performances there (especially last season's rearranged fixture which was probably our most lacklustre performance of the season) I'd be happy with a point there. Something we don't get very often.

I understand the pessimism, given our recent record against Maidenhead, but I think we should target a win. They have just lost a key loan player, Alfie Kilgour (defensive lynchpin who also scores goals), recalled by Bristol Rovers. And we're due some luck against them.

I'm still looking at a play-off place finish. I don't think we should write-off our season with nearly a quarter of it still to go and am looking forward to seeing some fine Sutton wins in the last 10 matches - starting with one tomorrow at Maidenhead. (A new ground for me - another box ticked)

Indeed Kilgour scored their late late equaliser on Tuesday night I believe - this could be handy him being recalled. I went to the abandoned game on Good Friday last season (where we were leading 3-2) but missed the rearranged game - so hopefully a first full 90 minute visit to York Road tomorrow for myself. Our record at Maidenhead is overall pretty depressing - one win in the Trophy a few years back and no win in the league since Bolty was here in the early 00's. I see Alan Devonshire has just won the Manager of the Month award for February - hopefully the curse strikes tomorrow!

We’ve been playing like relegation fodder since the win at Barnet. Not good enough at the moment.

Underwhelming performance
I have been watching football for many years but cannot see what we were trying to do going forward in the second half. With 4 up front we still had very little width. Most crosses went in from beyond the penalty area. First half we lumped the ball forward in an attempt to get knockdowns fom Williams. Despite the heavy pitch I imagin their goalkeeper will not bother washing his gloves before the next game.

At least we’re saving money on the goal bonuses 😂

I'm completely baffled with what we are doing going forward. Not the normal Sutton style of play we have witnessed over the last 10 odd seasons. We need to find a system that works or kiss goodbye to the playoffs. It's not as though we don't have the players to get there because we do.

Losing at Maidenhead shocker!
Plus points. Defence were great today until Bailey was subbed and went 3 at the back. And it was a better effort than last season.
I'm not going to faint with shock that Maidenhead are the first side to do the double over us this season.
I think I'm going to refrain from any others comments for the time being as I expect there will be a barrage of knee jerk ones from others including people who were not there coming up in the next few hours
