And so it proves. Congratulations Adam! Although who could have predicted the circumstances... encouraging to see that Matt Gray exceeded the expectations of most supporters in his inaugural season as a manager.

Good teams with top strikers get promoted. Average sides with good strikers survive Average sides without strikers get relegated. You forgot average sides with Harry beautyman survive!

The irony of the title of a season we didn't know would even finish.

This is what you get if you take the points on the board and carry it forward using the last 10 matches form to calculate each teams remaining games points average :
C Harrogate Town 46 89 2 Barrow 46 88 3 Notts County 46 83 4 Boreham Wood 46 79 5 FC Halifax Town 46 75 6 Yeovil Town 46 72 7 Stockport C 46 71 8 Hartlepool U 46 71 9 Barnet 46 71 10 Woking 46 69 11 Dover Athletic 46 68 12 Solihull Moors 46 65 13 Sutton United 46 64 14 Torquay United 46 62 15 Chesterfield 46 61 16 Ebbsfleet U 46 59 17 Bromley 46 57 18 Dagenham & R 46 57 19 Wrexham 46 57 20 Aldershot Town 46 55 R Eastleigh 46 55 R Maidenhead R 46 48 R AFC Fylde 46 48 R Chorley 46 28

It's interesting to compare and contrast the above with the final league table, the most obvious beneficiary being Barnet, with the points per game (ppg) system as voted for pushing them up to 7th. I do feel for Stockport Country, the only side to lose out on a playoff spot as a consequence... www.thenationalleague.org.uk/match-info/tables

what position will be in by the end of next season? Following on from today's announcement less than 2 metres apart. I like the idea of table service in the club bars though.

I am going to wait to see if we are able to start playing again next season. I don't want to be a misery guts. However the Chief Medical Adviser has stated only this afternoonp, that he anticipates that social distancing will be necessary throughout the coming winter as he does not envisage that the Covid19 virus will leave us in the short to medium term.

Cup would be a good opportunity for a test case in football. You’d like to think that somebody in the corridors of power would have the gumption to realise that 40 or 50 fans spread out at Phoenix Sports v Hashtaq United is hardly going to cause a second bloody wave!

I couldn't agree more, amberchoc. Ditto for the women's game. I can't see any valid reason why the powers that be have prohibited fans from attending pre-season women's matches. But for the ban, I would have attended SUFC Women's game against Bowers & Pitsea today. Thank goodness for SUFCTV!

Possibly not even enough in the ground for a Mexican wave.

One of countless jarring inconsistencies the last few of months have thrown up... I heard a story over the weekend that Littlehampton FC having to play games behind closed doors, yet the cricket club (which they share the same ground with) are playing in front of crowds. The crowds they get are similar (both under 100) yet because of the sport (not the venue) different rules apply.
