Thanks for your gracious comments pda.
I doubt if anyone on this forum would excuse swearing, spitting or intimidation. But some K's fans might want to consider whether their own provocative behaviour encourages that sort of response.
The K's fans once got an offensive reaction from Steve McKimm, but (as far as I'm aware) there's never been a problem between Steve and any other set of fans. Perhaps that tells us something.

That's the thing with unbeaten runs, they tend to end sometimes!
TBH, any K's fan worth their salt (cheers Carl) would admit they got away with murder last night. Yes they defended stoutly and you have to give credit for sticking to their task & still being in the game, but there really only should have been one winner.
Sadly though, football ain't like that and if you go pissing away chances like we did then there is always the danger a side will punish you. What really frustrates me most about the defeat though is that once again, the K's winner comes not from an incisive lightning counterattack or a quick passing move, but us Flipping up from a big lump forward, allowing their guy in to score. Disappointingly it was probably the only real mistake the back four made all night, particularly the otherwise superb Simon Downer.
Still first half they came out the blocks fast but once we got our foot on the ball after about 10 minutes, they really weren't in it. Their midfield was terrible. There must have been a good 15-20 minute spell in that first half where they simply gave the ball away, put it in touch or were robbed of possession by Brad, Elvis, Davo or Karl pretty much every time. The sad thing is we failed to punish them.
Should have been 2 up at the break, but you just got that feeling at HT that the longer it went on, the more likely we were to get caught out at some point.
Second half, more of the same. Brad hit the post, somehow Fola headed wide & clearly the linesman on the stand side was shite at biology at school because he didn't seem to know the difference between an arm and a chest.
The important thing now is how we bounce back. Another big game saturday and if we get a win up there, then last night will be forgotten. Just put those bloody chances away lads!
Good points were the performances of Downer (superb), Murray was everywhere in the middle, Davo again looks a quality addition, Brad really is handful wherever he plays and I'm really looking forward to a fit Elvis Hammond. I thought he was excellent and whilst not quite as sharp as he'd like to be, his hold up & link up play was superb.
Not going to moan about the home fans as I can't be arsed. We really should know what to expect from them by now TBH, so sod 'em. Let 'em get on with it. Our own support was loud & positive, good stuff. Although if I see that f*cking drum again I won't be responsible for my actions!
Finally, a little pointer for K's as a club. 2 turnstiles open for what could arguably be your biggest gate of the season is pony. Seriously guys, sort it out. There were a good few locals queueing around me that I was chatting to who it turned out were taking in their first game for a while\ever and I can tell you they were NOT impressed at still being outside the ground as the game kicked off.
Oh and finally, you hoopy feckers owe me 50p. The lady on the turnstile ran out of change so I paid 10 quid to get in instead of 9.50.
I accept cash or cheque and if you need details regarding my thoroughly uncompetitive rates of interest, feel free to contact me on 0800-BiggerFloatNeeded

Nothing much else to add except I thought the pitch was superb and the roof at the athletics stadium end adds to the ground and atmosphere. (First time I have seen it). The head steward lady did do well (eventually) with getting people in quicker. The bar is awful. Uncleaned floors and very expensive bottled beer. No atmosphere in the bar and BBC on all night. You can tell it is not K's ground anymore! I wont rush back to Kingsmeadow any time soon!

Would have settled for a 0-0 before the match. It was always going to happen after we didn't score in the first half. K's defended very well, 'cause they had to and I don't remember much activity around our goal. A balanced view would say K's didn't deserve to win and indeed a number of their supporters expressed that view. So although we lost, the manner of the defeat gives me optomism. This is our first match against one of the top sides and we aquitted ourselves well so I am not too downhearted. As I recall last year, following the hard match at K's, both teams had a bit of a dip in results - we can't afford that to happen again and the match on Saturday will really be a test of our Championship credentials.

We were saying before this match that the next two games would be a good pointer to the rest of the season. Well, after the first one, I am very encouraged. We played a team with promotion credentials and were better than them across the park for 89 minutes - pity about that other minute! However a fluke result doesn't change things, I thought we looked the real deal last night. If I was picky, I'd say the only thing we need to improve on is the quality of the crosses. There was an almost continuous stream last night, from Ebsworth, Fola, BWG and Elvis, but very few seemed to be finding the right targets.
Finally, don't we look better with BWG playing in a more tucked in midfield role rather than wide right. With Murray and Davis, we bossed the midfield last night.

I agree with eveything being said about last night. Our first half performance was immense but in the 2nd half I was worried about what might happen - and it did! When they scored both Dos and Wayne were in the lino's ear and a whisper had it that the last touch could have been made by a player off-side. He just helped it on its way. As for the stonewall penalty I was in the stand (second row on the half way line) and my view was it was chest but behind the goal, lino and ref would have had a much better view than me. Onwards and upwards the battle was lost last night but we are still very much in the war and if we can create that type of play each week most defences will not be as good as K's.

Think the midfield needs to find Jolls a bit quicker. We're taking one extra touch or stride when going at a retreating defence and either the chance is lost or we find our way barred.
Another thing with crosses is we need more bodies hitting the box in situations like that. Again though, I think this is simply something that'll click the more games we play rather than any kind of real flaw.
Play that way saturday and we'll cause Lowestoft plenty of problems.

Would i be correct in saying that a visit from Sutton United doubles the gate at Kingstonian ?
From last night's programme.....................
Kingstonian FC is a family club and will therefore not tolerate any behaviour that could cause offence to others on match days.
and
The club reserves the right to eject , ban or prosecute any person committing abusive or threatening behaviour or using obscene language or racist comments to any members of staff , stewards , players , match officials or other supporters.

A great advert for RPL football last night. Even though we lost I cannot praise U's enough for their approach to the match. Terrific passing and movement spreading the ball to both flanks. For K's their defence was resolute and other than their back 4 only Matt Gray really stood out for me. During the preiod of 1963-1997, U's rarely lost to K's and usually beat them. It would appear that the tables have turned recently. That's twice in succession the best side has walked away from Kingsmeadow with nothing but to rue a late goal conceded.
As for their lot behind the goal if that's what they call supporting their team then they haven't a clue. For a local derby you would expect some anti-U's stuff but as usual it was all the time. Do they not realise how idiotic they sound? Obviously not. I've never had too much animosity towards the K's in the past as T&M and Robins have always been our main rivals but that lot are beginning to make me think again. Their is banter and their is abuse. The K's lot appear to fall into the latter category.
Anyway, all that should not sour a good evening of RPL football contested by two committed sides and ref'd, in the main, very well.

Just back home from the game. Of course I'm pleased with the three points but it was a poor game from K's and we rode our luck to extreme levels. We hoofed the ball a lot and clearly the substitutions changed things about. Result was massively unfair on Sutton. That's football for you. Not sure who this 'Hoopsa' character is but he seems a right pillock! "He"? Does that narrow it down ;D Hoops, I find the Ks constant anti-Sutton abuse tiresome, and can't really be bothered to argue with it. But anything that any member of our playing staff etc may have done that you find objectionable is, while perhaps a cause for some concern if true, not the responsibility of the fans and has nothing to do with our objections to your fans' offensive "support." If you have a complaint about the behaviour of our player(s), then you need to make that complaint to the club through the proper channels. All you are doing above is trying to deflect the comments made by our fans about your fans by attempting to mask them with allegations about our players. Which doesn't change the fact that several of your fans were behaving unacceptably in the terms of your own ground regulations.

Grrr, a frustrating evening to be sure. I thought when Jolly didn't fully connect to poke the ball in from the goalmouth scramble after our 1st corner it was going to be one of those evenings, and the longer the game went on without Sutton scoring the more likely those jammy specialists known as Kingstonian FC would somehow steal the game.
Lots of positives from tonight, Murray looks like a great signing, as does Hammond indeed I'm very impressed how Hammond and Jolly work well together up front. We won most 50-50 balls last night, the midfield was top notch. Off the field I thought our support was top notch, although the drum was a bad idea.
As for K's, to be honest I thought at best they were average for the most part, but their center-backs were immense, and IMO won them the game. But I thought they were a dirty side, and we could of had a penalty for the aforementioned handball incident. Off the pitch I'm flattered by their continued obsession with all things SUFC, cheers guys. But to suggest that swearing at opposition fans for shouting support of their team (I was called a fat c**t for saying good luck Scrivs just before kick-off, by some anonymous hero in the crowd) is passion is misplaced methinks. And I could barely hear the famous 12th man.
A league defeat was always coming, Saturday is the best chance to show the real character of this team. See you in Lowestoft.

Good highlights again. Unfortunately no matter how many times I watch it Fola's header doesn't go in and Scrivs doesn't get to the ball a split second earlier. Our passing and movement is still superb though
