It was a disgrace. I hope our club is taking it up with LTFC and the league. There's no place for that behaviour in football or anywhere else.

By the sounds of it we've got identification too. Racism has no place in today's game.

What a brilliant result, well in boys, thoroughly deserved! We had to win that one to show we can push on from here and win the title. The Lowestoft fans I spoke to after the game seemed pretty sure there will be only one winner of this league. As far as the talking points are concerned, I thought their keeper was very lucky not to go for the challenge on Dundo for the penalty. Forbes' 2nd yellow for running behind the goal after scoring was a ref who looked like he'd lost the game making a ridiculous "big" decision (blaming the fans for holding on to him and getting him sent off is also one of the most ridiculous things I've heard for a while - sorry Andy K). Couldn't see from our end, but their "offside" goal looked to have been pulled back from the byline so probably might not have been off; opinion in the bar afterwards seemed to suggest that a couple of our own agreed! As far as the Lowestoft fans are concerned, you could tell on arriving in the bar before kick off that they had come in numbers and were "up for it". I thought the atmosphere in the first half was the best at GGL for a long time. I had a good chat with a few of them after the game and they were good lads, knew their football and wished us well. I didn't hear the racism at the end of the game, and obviously that is completely unacceptable; but let's not let a few knobheads stand for the rest of their support, who I thought were a credit to their club and if we could have a set of away fans like them every week it would make our Saturday afternoons even better. Most importantly, and I know we shouldn't tempt fate, but a win at Scumbridge next Saturday and it all starts to feel a little bit real. Come on U's!!

Who was the mad, drunk woman trying, mainly unsuccessfully, to cause trouble in the second half? I suppose it's a credit to us that she felt safe doing it.

Sending goalkeepers off is ridiculous - a penalty is sufficient punishment. As for Forbes getting sent off ,it was ludicrous but unfortunately that's the (stupid) law.The supporters who got involved are just as much to blame.

I thought she was on our side leading the chants, I could not hear a word she was shouting Sending goalkeepers off is ridiculous - a penalty is sufficient punishment. As for Forbes getting sent off ,it was ludicrous but unfortunately that's the (stupid) law.The supporters who got involved are just as much to blame. Is it me or is that post somewhat contradictory

I wasn't blaming the fans for Forbes sending off - I said it gave the Ref an excuse to send him off - theres a big difference - The ref was running over looking for a reason. The ref was a prat today, and although he got a lot of smaller decisions right today, he made some huge howlers. And that, in my opinion was one of them. Before you come on here and have a pop, please read what I've written rather than reading it and then saying something else!
The drunk woman spent most of the 2nd half trying to snog her equally drunk female friend. When she got bored of that she decided to be a little antagonisitc toward the bulk of the U's fans. To our credit, we didn't rise to it, and just out sung her instead. I agree that we shouldn't let a few idiot supporters spoil a good bunch - Sal said it right in the bar afterwards 'the bigger the support you have, the more idiots you'll get proportionally'. Not long after this a bunch of LT supporters came up to us and wished us well.
Back to Lowestofts on the pitch performance - they are a good side, but we;ve got them on their 'blip' - if we played them 6 weeks ago, I reckon we would have lost in a similar manner to the way they did today. Sometimes its about playing the right teams at the right times.

The bloke in question was a total trumpet and thanks to our stewards, he got no further than verbal insults towards the officials. As for the other one in the Russian hat though, the Lowestoft fans know who he is. A complete racist who shouldn't be allowed to follow their team. To shout at one of our players about needing a visa is an absolute disgrace and has no place in modern society.
