Nice to think one of our players carries his own Power Shower around with him, but this shouldn't distract from one of the most balanced reports I've read in a long time - Hornchurch take note!

A good win for us. Especially with the likes of Tonbridge slipping up.
Great first 45 and should have gone in more than 1 up. They came out a bit livlier second half, but always felt we'd nick another one. Great run from Dundo for the second and Forbesy there to finish. As for his second yellow, seriously, WTF?
I mean, ok, we all know the laws state you can't 'enter the crowd' etc, but Forbes didn't exactly disappear under a pile of bodies. He high fived a couple and one bloke hugged him FFS! What he did was nothing compared to Westy at Ware or Dom O'Shea at Eastbourne.
If it had been a massive pile in involving a good few of us and most of the team, well he might have a point. But that was just bloody daft. Annoyingly, the twit made a real show if it too by checking his book methodically before he showed the card. Not got a great memory clearly as Forbes first yellow was the last card he'd shown only a few minutes before. Idiot.
After that, they really stepped up the tempo and after pulling a scruffy one back threw everything at us. Thankfully we hung on and really should have finished 'em off with a couple of breaks we had.
Still, 3pts is 3pts. I'll take 'em. On to Hendon weds....

Report from todays Eastern Daily Press on-line paper...
Report from todays EDP on-line paper
Lowestoft Town could not make their pressure tell as 10-man Ryman Premier leaders Sutton United held on for all three points at Gander Green Lane.
Up to 150 Lowestoft fans made the trip to Gander Green Lane and made for a cracking atmosphere in what was an absorbing contest that saw six booking and Andy Forbes dismissed in the second half.
Sutton had the better of the game before they took the lead – thanks largely to a mix-up in the Lowestoft defence on 26 minutes.
United striker Craig Dundas broke through and although it seemed a simple toss-up between Town defenders Sam Gaughran and Andrew Cave-Brown over clearing the ball, neither made contact.
It left goalkeeper Andy Reynolds to bring down the Sutton number nine, with referee Steve Rubery pointing to the spot and booking the Town stopper – before Andy Forbes confidently dispatched the penalty, sending Reynolds the wrong way.
Dundas caused problems for the visitors all afternoon, Reynolds producing two excellent saves from the striker before the Ryman Premier Division leaders’ opener, while Adrian Forbes and Matt Nolan brought decent stops from United keeper Kevin Scriven.
The visitors also had penalty appeals of their own waved away after Simon Downer appeared to handle in the box.
Nolan saw his effort blocked as Lowestoft made a positive start to the second half, but moments later it unravelled Darren Ebsworth’s 54th minute break put in Dundas, who shower power and pace before squaring for Forbes to bag his second.
But having been booked for a late challenge minutes earlier, Forbes’ decision to celebrate with the Sutton fans was not Rubery’s liking – and he handed the striker his marching orders, to the bemusement of most inside the ground.
From then, Town’s pressure was pretty relentless and Scott Mitchell deservedly halved the deficit on 65 minutes with a deflected shot from 25 yards that wrong footed Scriven.
Town thought they had equalised with six minutes left, but Michael Frew’s tap in was adjudged offside – much to the visitors’ annoyance – and despite throwing everything at the Sutton goal in five minutes of added time, the runaway leaders held on.
The game was played with a red ball for the first 15 minutes to mark next month’s Red Nose Day, with footage set to feature as part of the BBC’s coverage of the charity event.

And by the way how can the visa comment not be construed as racist!! Because having a visa does not apply to any particular race or colour. Its more a case of not being politically correct.

First of all, that was as good a tenner's worth as you could get. Not often I get "edgy" at football but yesterday was a superb and dramatic 90+ minutes of football. I hope BOTH sides get promoted as I liked the LTFC fans I spoke to (and there was more than 150 of them at the game!!). Indeed, I thought the gate was larger than announced as well! Sutton defended well when down to ten men but Lowestoft were DEFINITELY denied a legal goal by the offside flag. However, in some perverse way, that levelled up the silly sending off for Forbes. Good support for Sutton yesterday too. The club needs more days like these! Cheers.

I would firstly like to say that it was a real pleasure yet again to meet up with the Sutton fans, who I now regard as genuine non-league friends. Enjoyed their visit to our place and also thoroughly enjoed yesterday. It was great to have some beers before and after the game and have the usual friendly and 'full of banter' chats. I really wish you all the best for the remainder of the season and I hope our paths cross again, as you lads are top notch.
I would like to touch on the 'racist remarks. I know the guy in question and I was stood with him for 75mins of the match, as he was the main songsters in our fans and at no point did any of the songs contain any racisim or nasty remarks. Therefore I find it hard to believe he made racist comments at the end, as that would be totally out of character but I know beer and frustration at the officials would have been present. I was at the tunnel at the end to let the officials know how impressed I was by them (NOT) and didn't hear any racist remarks. However many people are saying these occured, so it sounds as if something did happen and if this is true, then it's totally unacceptable and will be dealt with within our club, as we do not want our clubs good fans record and presence to be tarnished by anything like this.
As for the game, I thought you guys looked very strong and are in a great position to win the league now but there is a long way still to go and as we all know any team can beat any team in this division on some days.
You fully deserved to have the lead at halftime, as we wer'nt really at the races at all. However second half we came out with much more tempo in our game and stepped up a bit. You got a 2nd on the break which lead to the first shocking decision of the day by the player being sent off for celebrating. I can understand if he jumped into the fans or went over to the away fans but that was a ridiculous decision by the ref. At this point Lowestoft really got their backs up and started to apply some pressure, which isn't alway that easy against 10 men. We got back in the game with a deserved goal, which then shortly lead to the worst decision of the whole game, which ruined what would have been an exciting last 10 mins. We got a perfectly good equiliser, which was never offside (agreed by your keeper and many of your fans) but it was scrubbed off by an incompetent linesman, who flagged a giraffe for being offside in the first half (so that was the level we were dealing with).
You could argue you guys deserved to win overall but it was a fair equiliser and it has left a bitter taste in the mouth.
That aside it was a great day and as said previously, it was brilliant to meet up with people I know regard as non-league friends.
I wish you all the best for the remainder of the season and hope we cross paths again :-)

Erm, it implies that one or more of our players are in the UK illegally. That can only imply racisism and has nothing to do with political incorrectness.

Great win yesterday - well done to all involved and well done to LTFC for coming down in numbers to create a decent atmosphere
Fact of the day - we cannot now finish bottom of the league ;D

You could argue you guys deserved to win overall but it was a fair equiliser and it has left a bitter taste in the mouth. Lets be fair over the 2 games up to the point of the dissallowed goal just about every piece of luck and decision went in LT favour not just yesterday but over both games. Dundo harsly sent off at their place, then they guy does a thigh high late challenge and stays on? Then they should lose theor keeper but stays on, only to be followed by a bazzare sending off of Forbes. We deserved our 4pts overal from both games without any questions at all, and if the officials had been better then it would more likley of been 6. Good luck to LT for the rst of the season, excellent support!

thought lowestofts fans were brilliant throughout the 90 minutes but they turned sour at the end rightly towards the officials (as their diallowed goal was onside but apart from that everything went their way).....but for a fan to start singing wheres your visa gone and 5 or 6 others to join in aimed towards kennedy was disgusting suttons players were completely fair and honest and to receive that treatment is wrong and LTFC should take action. The boys fully deserved the win holding out at the end and had forbesy not been sent off im confident in saying we would have held out far more comfortably. Great result for the boys 9 wins to go (Dos rarely gets it wrong)

Sorry Andy i would disagree.Yes it could mean they are illegal but that doesn't make it racist in itself. They are seperate issues without going into the legal aspect of it all. We all know what the guy was implying and i'm not defending it.

Time for my imput! Well that was the first Sutton match that i have seen in a couple of months, but my goodness me was that nice to come back too! I thought we were fantastic and we look much more settled than we did before i left. 2-1 i think was a fair result, and Lowestoft showed glimpses of why they are where they are in the league, but their defence did look shakey at times. However, im not suprised they did with the likes of Dundass, Leroy and Forbes going foward, we looked really dangerous. I think AJ is going to have to fight his way back into the team as we looked very strong at the back and i think Darren looks a much better play than he did 2 months ago.
My MoTM was Dundas, what a fantastic player and from what i've read, he's in the form of his career. Why Hampton let him go is beyond me cause last year at their place he was their best player by a country mile! Leroy looks quality and looks to be a crowd favourite already! Also just want to mention that i thought Karl Murrey was fantastic . He won every single ball in the middle of the park and he spread the play whenever he got the ball, again he looks much better than when i last saw him and just adds that calmness into the middle of the park. Disagree with the comments about Tom Davis actually, i don't think he had a great game in all honesty!
3pts and Tonbridge loosing makes life all the more sweeter! YELLLOWWSS!
