The inaugural Strikers are Key draw duly took place in the ( packed) Players' Bar after today 's game.
Ball number 15 was pulled out of the velvet bag which belongs to the Parkers.
Sadly, John failed to choose the correct key so the amount in the safe rolls over to next time. That means that a minimum of £700 will be in the safe plus £50 per further League goal notched by Messrs Taylor or Slabber.
Next draw - next Saturday 31st Aug v Whitehawk. Same time same place ( maybe less build up!). 5.45pm in the Players' Bar.

AB, I love how you always say "good luck everyone." Surely only one syndicate can have good luck each time

The second "Strikers are Key " draw duly took place in the packed and happy Players' Bar after today's 2-0 win v Whitehawk.
It's fair to say the proceedings took place amid a lively and fun atmosphere!
Anyway; ball number 6 was (eventually) pulled out of the velvet bag which belongs to Bobby Childs Senior's syndicate "Ride to Truro".
Sadly Bobby failed to pick the correct key so the amount in the safe rolls over to next time (v Farnborough on 14th Sept at 5.45 pm) when a minimum of £900 plus £50 per goal notched by either Jamie Taylor or Jamie Slabber in the forthcoming games vTonbridge or Farnborough will be inserted into the safe.
At a recent meeting at the football club, it was decided that because the scheme has been supported so superbly, owners of any balls which are pulled out of the velvet bag who fail to choose the correct key to open the safe for the big prize will receive a consolation prize of £50 which is NOT taken from the contents of the safe. Accordingly, the Parkers who own ball15 which was pulled out last week and Booby Childs Snr who owns ball 6 both received £50 because their choice of key didn't open the safe.
Thanks again for your magnificent support of this great initiative. Until next time!

So; I go away for one game and I come back to find out that someone's emptied the safe!
Congratulations to Keith Dodwell and Peter Dillon, owners of ball number 9 which was pulled out of the velvet bag last Saturday, who went on to choose the right key to open the safe and win £900!
That means we " start again" with the amount inserted into the safe. Following last night's match, a minimum of £400 will be up for grabs after the home match v Eastbourne on 5 Oct (plus £50 per League goal scored by either of the Jamies).
See you then!

Just a reminder that the fourth Strikers are Key draw will take place in the Players' Bar at 5.45pm after today's match v Eastbourne.
A minimum of £500 will be inserted into the safe (plus £50 per goal if either Jamie nets today).
See you there!

The fourth Strikers are Key draw duly took place in a packed and fun-filled Players' Bar after today's tremendous 4-0 win against Eastbourne Borough.
Amidst the revelry, ball number 42 was (eventually) pulled out of the velvet bag which belongs to the syndicate " Jim's Persistence" led by Jim Good. Syndicate member Mick Radburn was present to try his luck finding the correct key to open the safe. Sadly he chose the wrong key which means the money in the safe rolls over to next time....v Bromley on 19th Oct when a minimum of £800 will be up for grabs. "Jim's Persistence" won the £50 consolation prize.
Thanks again to everyone for their wonderful support of this great initiative. Lots of fun....especially when we win!
See you next time...

The fifth Strikers are Key draw duly took place in a full and happy Players' Bar after today's 1-0 win v Bromley.
Ball number 31 was pulled out of the velvet bag which belongs to "The Oddbods" syndicate. Syndicate member Lyn Baker chose the key but sadly it wasn't the one which opened the safe, which, thanks to Jamie Slabber's excellent finish today, contained £850.
That means that a minimum of £1,050 will be up for grabs in the next draw (after the game v Eastleigh in a fortnight) plus £50 per goal that either Jamie scores in the games v Gosport and Eastleigh.
Meanwhile good luck to the lads in next week's FA Cup tie at Hemel. We'll be there to support you en masse.
Up the U's!
