A minimum of £1950 up for grabs next week after the match v Basingstoke and Tim Vine doing the draw.
What more incentive do you need to be in the Players' Bar at 5:45pm next Saturday?

The thirteenth Strikers are Key draw duly took place in a packed Players'' Bar following today's excellent 4-0 win against Basingstoke Town.
To the delight of the assembly, the draw was conducted by Tim Vine who entertained the room royally. Ball number 17, owned by Michael Bidmead, was eventually pulled out of the purple velvet bag. Mike sadly failed to choose the correct key to open the safe which contained £1,950 and therefore won the £50 consolation prize. The pot is building and a minimum of £2,350 will be up for grabs in a fortnight's time after the home match v Bath City.
See you there!

The fourteenth Strikers are Key draw took place in the Players' Bar after today's 2-2 draw with Bath City.
Craig Dundas, having just played in his 300th game in Sutton colours, conducted the draw and ball number 13, owned by the "Lucky 13s" syndicate, was pulled out of the purple velvet bag. Syndicate member Sarah Bleksley's attempt to pick the right key was sadly in vain which means that a minimum of £3,000 will be up for grabs at the next draw on Sat 12 April after the game v Ebbsfleet United. The Lucky 13s syndicate wins the £50 consolation prize.
Thanks as always for your tremendous support of this scheme.

Yep.
Whilst I'm on, a reminder that the fifteenth Strikers are Key draw takes place after Saturday's game v Ebbsfleet.
Thanks to Jamie Taylor's recent goals v Havant and Maidenhead, a minimum of £3,150 will be up for grabs in the pesky safe. It's proved stubborn to open of late - maybe this is the week?
Good luck everyone!

Following Jamie Taylor's brace of goals today, £3,250 was up for grabs in today's "Strikers are Key" draw, the fifteenth of the season.
The draw was conducted by today's guest, boxer Ricky Boylan, and ball number 40, owned by Ian de la Mare, was pulled out of the purple velvet bag. In Ian's absence, Damian Scannell came forward to try to choose the right key, but Damian's choice failed to unlock the safe, meaning that a minimum of £3,450 will roll over to Monday week's draw after the match v Concord Rangers, a fitting climax to the "regular" home League season.
Should the safe not be cracked on that day, a draw will take place on Saturday night, 10 May, during our end of season party. A ball will be pulled out of the bag and that ball's owner will scoop the lot! Now that's worth a build up...!
Exciting times indeed....

The sixteenth Strikers are Key draw of the season duly took place in the Players' Bar after today's 1-0 win against Concord Rangers.
The draw was conducted by Paul and Kate Doswell and today's lucky number was 5, owned by Anthony Marsh under the nom de plume of "Bobby's M8s". Bobby Childs tried his luck with the key for Anthony but was unable to choose the correct one which means that a minimum of £3,450 WILL be won in a " winner takes all" Strikers are Key draw on Saturday 10 May during the end of season party. Now that'll be worth seeing! Anthony wins the consolation £50 prize.
The safe has proved to be statistically sound with three successful openings in sixteen attempts and one BIG winner still to come. A total of at least £6,300 will be won in a scheme which has really captured the imagination this season. Thanks to ALL participants once more. It's been a lot of fun.
Now; on to the excitement of the Play Offs. Come on you U's!

The final act in the 2013/14 Strikers are Key stage show was played out last night amid much anticipation at the end of season party.
The draw was conducted by Paul Doswell who made the owners of syndicate "The old Ds", Keith Dodwell and Peter Dillon, a very happy pair, when he pulled ball number 9 out of the purple velvet bag.
Keith and Peter won the grand prize of £3,450 and immediately assuaged the disappointment of other syndicate members in the room by placing £500 of their winnings behind the bar for general consumption. Suffice to say; a good night was had by one and all! Well done to them and thanks for this generous gesture.
Thank you indeed to EVERYONE involved in this fun initiative this season. 160 stakeholders - it wouldn't have worked without your tremendous support.
I plan to discuss next year's scheme with the manager imminently and would request your willingness to re- join, or indeed, join the fun for next season, assuming that it will run on a similar basis. Post on this thread or e mail me on uws@suttonunited.net to let me know your intentions. Hopefully we can go again and enjoy some more revelry in 2014/15...maybe with a new musical instrument to herald the changes!
Thanks again. # oneteam. # onwards and upwards
