A match of this importance deserves an early start to discussions. Bognor are on a run of six consecutive wins and they're scheduled to play a league game tonight at home to Leiston (4th v 5th, one point apart). If they win that then we won't be the only team brimming with confidence on Saturday. I presume that a spy or two will be lurking in the shadows down at Nyewood Lane this evening....

Well done, this game does deserve an early match thread. Bognor do get good results from big games so I expect them to win tonight.

Yes, I think it has already been mentioned elsewhere that Bognor have won 5 out of 6 matches against higher level opposition this season, the exception being a narrow (on penalties) defeat by Wealdstone.
We do have an excellent record in recent years against Bognor, but it would be silly to dwell on that because we had a totally different team last time we played them.

I'm expecting them to be one of the better sides we've faced this season and a close game. Should be good, hopefully we put in a big performance and can get through. A quarter final would be massive.

Bognor are a good team in the Ryman league. However the level of the Ryman League is well below the level of the National South. No doubt Bognor will raise their game for this fixture but i still expect a comfortable win for Sutton & yes i have seen Bognor play this season.

Bognor will be 'well' up for this and will fancy their chances, righty so.. They are on a great run... But so are we!!! It's not going to be easy, should be a excellent attendance, great atmosphere & if we keep playing how we have been recently a place in the quarter finals is a realistic target...Come on you u's !!

Bognor have beaten Maidstone 1-0 (a feat we couldn't achieve). They have beaten Oxford City 4-2, Bath 1-0, Altrincham 2-1, Lowestoft 3-1 and narrowly lost to Wealdstone 2-1 having missed two penalties, so they have earned utmost respect when playing teams above their level and should not be written off lightly !!!

Sounds like they are bringing a couple of buses up.. Be glad to see a more boisterous away end than we experienced against Curzon in the last round. Looking forward to this one!!

I come in peace, please tell me Sutton Sal is still with you ( that wouldn't be Sallycat would it?) we are so looking forward to our trip to you this Saturday, we've have had a good season so far, but we will be the underdogs, you are one of the teams we always struggle against but we will be giving it a good go, win, lose, or draw, we hope for a super afternoon on a surface that will suit us more than your grass pitch did. On the plus side you can expect between 150 and 200 of the Rocks barmy army to invade you and make some noise. Here is too a cup tie to remember and some good banter. I Hope you achieve your aim of National football for next season.

Buzzing for this huge match tomorrow - what a great chance we have to move into the quarters of the Trophy!
Team selection might be interesting as it sounds like Amankwaah and McCallister will both be missing so I expect Spence will come in at right back and Dundo to partner Fitchett up front.
We're around 7/10 clear favourites with the bookies.
C'mon the U's!!

Ok start but we faded in the second half. Suddenly our squad looks rather small, we need at least one of the injured strikers back for the replay.
