Looks like the ref got the decision against Kev right as Worgan was caught in the face. He made a meal of it though and as soon as he heard the cheer for the red card he looked up and no doubt laughed. We must keep our discipline for the remaining games.

Yep silly to throw an arm out, rubbish reaction but he gave him the chance to do that. Ross got the goal wrong but as he was otherwise immense under the aerial bombardment we can forgive him that. Think their wide right player probably the only one that we'd find space for from their side. Gave Wish some difficult moments and no one else has done that this year.

amazing performance from the team last night - well done to all the supporters who made it down to Kent. there will probably be a few twists and turns yet but if the top 3 all keep winning I have worked out that we would only need a draw from our last home match to go up as champions, but would need to win if we only drew with Ebbsfleet the week before.
it would be fantastic to clinch the title at home in front of a huge crowd

Ebbsfleet can finish on 87 points, Maidstone can finish on 85 and we can finish on 90.
Win the next two and we'll be meeting Ebbsfleet level on points, assuming they beat Chelmsford on Saturday, Beat them on the 16th and Ebbsfleet will need a big win on the last day of the season if we fail to get any points from our last 2 games.
I utterly love this season.

According to the Surrey FA web-site, Dan Wishart is suspended for the B. Stortford and Ebbsfleet games and Kevin is suspended for the Chelmsford and Oxford City games - and the fist leg of the play off (if required). Let's hope Dan Spence stays fit until the end of the season (although we have other options with Simon D and Louis J).

Sorry - on looking at Surrey FA web-site again, I think that Kevin may be available for (both legs of) play offs if required.

Agree with you jencor... Some very kind comments on the Maidstone forum, and directed at me/us on the way out. Very different from the experience of leaving Gravesend & N's abode. Don't understand G&N when the talk referred to Wealdstone?

That forum is register to read, so it's no good to those of us who don't have the time to register on every club's forum ever Just got in from the game. Sutton are a powerful and skillful side and can play fast intricate positive football, especially on the break. It looked a very uneven contest until Sutton had a player sent off for an elbow on Worgan. Stones looked a little out classed up front and played too many long balls into the box with little height in their forward line. The Sutton No 9 is a hulk of a player and difficult to shift off the ball. Both wings were used to good fast effect. The second goal had an air of fortune about it as it looked to be going out of play but the Sutton player kept going and hooked it back and it was comfortably slotted home. The defence was well organised and gave little away. It will need a big effort by the Fleet to overcome them if they continue to play like that. 3040 attendance.Just back from Maidstone and I have to say Sutton weree very very good especially in the first half. Very quick, strong, direct in front of goal and gave Maidstone no time on the ball at all. The best side I have seen in this league, will be a tough game at their place. Agree with most of this but Worgan made a meal of the little push and went down very theatrically indeed, I would have given both players a yellow!! Suttons 2 x wingers very fast & direct as well, plus the bald no 10 was everywhere!! Men v Boys really, Maidstone were lucky to score at the end. We will have to be at our very best to give them a game on 16th!!!Agree with everything said. Game over after 9 minutes, Maidstone caught cold. Stupid sending off, but Maidstone lacked imagination to make man over count. Sutton are quick and physically powerful. I was particularly impressed with their Nos 10 and 11 BUT Maidstone really didn't pressure Sutton's back row and if Kedders gets at them and The God is up to his game it is do-able. In truth though it looks like we will play Maidenhead in the play-offs and then Truro or Maidstone - (and my money's on Truro). Was right in front of the sending off incident and, while it was a strange decision by the linesman (surely was a free kick or corner), the reaction was one of the dumbest things Ive ever seen from a Sutton player. Yes Worgan made a big fat meal of it, but to strike out is so unprofessional, especially with a 2-0 lead in the bag in the biggest game of the season. Just so lucky the team pulled together and the man advantage made no difference whatsoever, in fact it always looked more likely Sutton would get a third until the freak goal from nowhere.
Top notch performance obviously, and yes a now-fit Bailey looked far too good for this level as you'd expect. Stones had nothing but the long throw, did they choke or did we just tactically get the better of them? Maidstone though - great set of fans and a super set up, their catering options put us and most football clubs to shame!
