As a stones fan I was if course gutted with the result last night but to be honest - the score flattered us. Sutton were outstanding - the front two especially were class. The sending off was right in front of me and it was nonsense. Very disappointing from Worgs - expect to see that reaction in the champions league - not level 6. It was not an elbow. Other than that actually thought officials were ok. Sincerely hope you go up automatically as I do NOT fancy coming up against Sutton in the play offs. I am sure many U's fans will echo this, I think Maidstone, club and fans have been excellent in defeat. You are a credit to the league, and I hope that both clubs go up this season together. As for Fleet, well they will go up eventually anyway, I could get them promoted with the money they have to play with.

Also I'd just like to openly apologise, and I hope he reads this, to the Sutton fan who I told to shut up in response to his close quarters chant of "2-0 in your own backyard" No need for me to react in the way I did and no excuse offered other than the frustration of going 2 down, apologies. That would have been me! Apology accepted, despite being caught up in the emotion of going 2-0 up it was a little childish of me perhaps. Admittedly I'm still on a high from Tuesday night, that's without doubt my greatest away experience since supporting the club, absolutely phenomenal night with a superb turnout from our fans to help create that great atmosphere! I couldn't believe what I was seeing when we went two up inside ten minutes but when Amankwaah was sent off I was fearing a Maidstone onslaught - it never really came but that was owed to a monumental performance from our troops. Remember that was a performance and result minus the likes of Beckwith, Burge and McCallister all of whom have played their part throughout the season. I certainly wish Maidstone well, it looks like they've got a great set up down there and to applaud our players off at the end was a touch of class that I've never seen before at this level. A handful of their supporters even stopped me in the car park at the station to wish Sutton well for the rest of the season and to beat Ebbsfleet which I thought was nice.

Thanks fella, pleased you've read my post and genuinely no harm was intended and if you come to ours again let me know and I'll buy you a pint. You had every right to be happy and make some noise about the stunning start and overall performance. It was a great turn out from Sutton fans and the noise was as good as any away fans we've had there. You'll see our manager has come out in support of you for the charge as well today. The word on the street in Maidstone since Tuesday night has been "perspective" Beaten by a much better team in front of over 3,000 fans on a Tuesday night, considering we were a Ryman South side 3 years ago I'm personally happy to have watched us take part in a game of that magnitude.

ontheup would you class yourself as a typical Maidstone fan? If so, I personally think you guys are great. Gracious in defeat and constructive with it. I've said it already but you, and fans like you are not only a credit to your club, but a credit to the game as a whole.

We were advised not to by some of your fans on here, then on the night by the time we found out we were kicking the other way for the first half that terrace behind the goal was way too packed for us to even try fitting in there. We didn't like having to stand at the "wrong" end but we didn't have a lot of choice.

Exactly, that terrace up the other end "The Town End" is always that packed but you'll be amazed at how fans of some other clubs do force their way in there. Rightly or wrongly that does lead to a different kind of atmosphere.

I wouldn't have wanted a different atmosphere - it was awesome! Nobody seemed to mind us being there. The Maidstone fans were great.
