There have been a couple of mentions of going full time. I thought Dos said that were we to actually get promoted to the EFL that we would remain with the same set up. There’s only so much you can do physically and we’re not training much less than a full time would. It’s pretty clear we’re not lacking fitness wise in comparison to full time teams. I’m not exactly in the know though so maybe this view has changed.

Even if it's not, staying semi pro in the 4th tier would be a suicide note.

Gutted I can't make the Q & A on Monday 18 March, I suspect it will be very illuminating...

Blimey, never realised Merthyr was dodgy. I've got an aunt in Cardiff and I'm planning on doing a bit of groundhopping on the last weekend of April while my dad catches up with her. Barry Town on the Friday night and Merthyr on the Saturday. Am I going to be burned at the stake for being a "cockney"? Not unless you travel back in time to 1990... For the residents of Merthyr 1990 is in the future

I have heard the term a lot on here, but what do people actually mean by going 'Full Time'? many clubs say we are already because we train during the day.
Does it mean the same to everyone or like Brexit does everyone have their own view on what it is?

Full time to me means having the same professional setup as a league club, i.e. none of the players have day jobs and that, yes, they train every day. Basically that they are at the clubs' disposal whenever required. Since you also mention Brexit I would argue that there should never have been a referendum, that they're divisive and unhelpful, that they're not required because that's why we democratically elect politicians and that it's doomed to failure by allowing the uninformed to bounce us out of the EU. I'll stop now

I'm sure we were told last season that the only requirement the Football League has in this regard is that a club has full time administration. The club had already discussed what they needed to do should we get promoted. There's nothing about full time training or any personnel being full time, since presumably even full time admin can be done by job share (although it would be preferable not to for continuity's sake).

And probably something that will come up on the 18th March Q&A too
