Tomorrow evening sees the long trip to Salford with any points return being a welcome present on what will be the clubs 121st Birthday. However, this potentially looks a tough ask despite Salford having stalled somewhat with their own form (they did record an excellent win at Ebbsfleet on Saturday).
I’m hoping Gime Toure was brought off as just a precaution with his hamstring on Saturday as we could really do with him tomorrow night - he put in a great showing against Hartlepool. Dale Bennett - despite taking a heavy fall over the advertising hoardings should be ok.
Safe travels to those making the trip up there!

I think we're on a hiding to nothing tomorrow if I'm honest. A point would be a fantastic result up there.

Because any away game against a side of their quality is going to be tough, admittedly they've played twice a week on more than one occasion recently but we've played as many if not more games recently and with a very small (at a guess) travelling support I think we're in for a tough evening. Always happy to be proved wrong

Always happy to be proved wrong I get what you're saying and see where you're coming from, but luckily Salford have played more games than us recently. 2 trophy games for a start. Personally I think we're going to get less on Saturday at Maidenhead. It's a midweek game against a challenger going through a sticky patch. This is exactly the type of game we raise ourselves to whilst Maidenhead is exactly the type of game we sometimes look to struggle to motivate ourselves plus they're in not bad form.

Braintree, Maidstone, Dover, Eastleigh. 4 sides to beat Salford in their last 5 games. Nothing to fear. Tough yes, aren’t they all? .
Games played against sides above us in the league this season 12, games lost 1.
Hiding to nothing?

I'm driving up there tomorrow and staying overnight in Stoke. No segregation & probably the cheapest admission prices in the League. Obviously a tough game but the pressure seems to be on them rather than us & i'm optimistic we can come away with 3 points if Toure & Bennett are fit.

I will be making my shortest journey of the season, only 21 miles from mine. Safe journey to all the hardy souls making the long journey. See you there, and a much needed win will make the journey back even sweeter.

I understand that Salford's expensive striker Adam Rooney has been out injured, which may help to explain their recent dip in form.

And on a really rather irrelevant point the game has made the Super 6 predictions list. After the performance at the weekend I’m hopeful that goals will start flowing, but I think I’ll stick with a 1-0 win 🙂.
Safe journey to all travelling.

As one of the greatest bands in the world hailed from Salford, here's hoping that Craig Eastmond scores so the U's faithful get to sing "Easty tore you apart again!"
In fact, if this does happen then I will put £500.00 behind the bar for our home game vs. Gateshead on Saturday 16 March 2019...

And Eastleigh were below us at the time, so we're still unbeaten when we've played a team higher than us when we played them. No one has done a double over Salford this season. Could this be the time?
