What makes “ The fall and rise of Matt Gray “ so good is that it is always filmed in front of a live audience !

Me too ! How about another superb American series ...... The Wire ? Just love watching that too. GGL. Try out an Italian series called GOMORRAH. It’s in Neapolitan dialect with English subtitles. Let me know if you watch and enjoy.

Back to the football content of this thread. Interesting stuff. Not sure that where the argument about "accepting someone's opinion" should you totally disagree with it goes. It's ok to post criticism about an individual (in this case Matt G) but not be able to accept criticism from those who disagree? Glasshouses and all that.
For those now back tracking on their opinion of Matt G because of recent form, perhaps next time they will give a new manager a little more time than they did before calling for his head. I remember saying at the time I would be worried when the players stopped playing for him which wasn't the case at the time and now the collective effort from those difficult weeks is being rewarded and both squad and management deserve that for not dropping their heads and working hard to turn things round.
Matt G bit his anti-loan bullett (I know what he meant about who really benefits generally) and went for a couple of loan players, one of whom is hardly a stranger, the other a young 'keeper looking to play regulalrly at a decent level. Hardly a gamble, like some loans can and often do turn out to be.
However, the main problem was goal scoring but the big difference is that both Omar and Tommy W now look back to full fitness and the club is benefiting greatly from that change in circumstance. Matt's senior front two fireing on all cylinders, something that wasn't possible in the early months of the season.
Of course, we're not out of the woods yet and have to keep ploughing away but things look far more healthy than they did after those three narrow defeats late Oct, early Nov. Yesterday however, was a tremendous result, arguably the best of the season. I thought Yeovil was a decent outfit, although if they spent less time whingeing they may have got a point out of the game. The failure of the ref yesterday to clamp down on that was probably his only blemish on a decent performance from a guy when we last had him (I think) sent Dos off at Braintree. Mr Quelch certainly showed more leniency than many at this level would have.
Other than the first goal the defence did brilliantly with Louis and Ben G outstanding. Bards and Rob M did fine work on the flanks. The midfield was solid again while Harry and David A gave an attacking threat to support the front two. No goals for Tommy W but once more he run himself into the ground and that desire helped bring the winning goal. I think AAron possibly had his best match in a U's shirt as he won countless headers but he does need to take care of the ball more as the post denied Yeovil a third goal following a blind pass.
Matt G has kept faith with his squad and only added where necessary. Jamie B has been niggled by a couple of injuries as has skip. The squad has responded magnificently to the challenge all season and long may that continue.

I was definitely a doubter but in this case I'm happy to be proved wrong.

Some nice symmetry here. The last time I saw Sutton v Yeovil was a 3-2 win. History repeats itself.
