I just loved medwaysider’s quote about the panic buying of toilet rolls . How long before people start to steal them from service station toilets and the like ? Perhaps for our next couple of home matches we should have security keeping an eye on the rolls in the clubs loos ? On a serious note I do hope that your Dad stays well , I really like his attitude . My parents are both gone now but we’re extremely passionate Sutton United supporters and both smoked like chimneys . They were not concerned about the effects of their smoking on their health but went in to meltdown after salmonella in eggs hit the headlines and refused to eat eggs for absolutely years afterwards . Same for beef and mad cows disease . I shudder to think how they would have reacted to coronavirus ! Probably would have started by nicking the clubs loo rolls ! Cheers GGL, I appreciate your best wishes and having shown him the post, so does my dad. It's a worry as far as he's concerned but he still intends to carry on volunteering at Age Concern, 3 days a week (some of the day visitors are younger than he is!) and not allow this to interfere with his normal life. Incidentally, although a postponement of all fixtures wouldn't impact on him as he doesn't particularly like football, he believes the decision to cancel all EPL and EFL games is ridiculous. As has been said by other posters, we all have different opinions. I'm doing a bit of groundhopping in the north east tomorrow - South Shields v FC United, fingers crossed that one survives.

No don't, we need a bit of gallows humour at the moment and anyway, if it mutates you may not need to! I bet your father remembers the Corona lorry medwaysider? Back in the day a neighbour of ours was knocked over by a corona delivery lorry. Eventually they came out of a deep cola.

The latest from the FA:
The English FA say it’s business as usual regarding grassroots football in England.
They are still following government advice for youth matches and even the National League.
Their statement this morning covers FA, Premier League, EFL and FA Women’s Super League and FA Women’s Championship games.

National League contracts often expire early May so any extension to the season would be difficult.

Well I hope you showed some bottle and came to his cherryade?* *I realise any drink ending with "ade" would've done, but cherryade was always my favourite as a kid

If the game went ahead tomorrow would there be a smaller crowd due to health concerns or a larger one due to local EPL & ELF supporters flooding the GGL terraces!?

Probably less Hartlepool supporters but more Premiership & EFL supporters.
