Don't get your hopes up just yet, these dates are not definitive. Football cannot recommence without crowds, and they are still not permitted. There is a massive amount of work to be done before clubs can even think about hosting games again.

My sympathises to all those running the clubs. As I don't think you'll be given a lot of clear guidance.

Is it me or does section iv in part C state that at the present time i.e. when matches start in September, that spectators will not be allowed in the ground? And as an aside, supposing Wales is still closed, what about Wrexham?

The FA plans today are simply unworkable at our level, end of.. I don't think that's the way of it. These are the guidelines and it's up to the clubs to make them work. But, more generally, we're in a situation where we've just been told it's now OK for us all to use public transport. A few days after the buses reduced their carrying capacity by 60%. Don't expect coherence.

They should join the phoenix club and enter North West Counties League. That would be interesting!

Weymouth are up from the National South play-offs edging out Dartford on penalties (ex-U’s Jebb and McQueen missed pens for the Darts).

Just a thought about what a funny old footy sporting world we live in. Scottish Premier League kicks off for 2020/21 season and we haven’t finished our National League for 2019/20(albeit by one day). The Scottish Championship League starts in October but is only playing 2/3rds of their season plus cup games whereas we are starting October and playing 46 games as per usual, albeit finishing a bit later in the season. Let’s hope this damned virus is eliminated soon so that we can return to as near normality as possible without suffering many more losses.
