I think Sutton Utd. Pride does the job quite well. 'Pride' seems to have been useful in describing the various marches and events that take place. It's become a recognised 'hook' word.
Although the Rainbow option would help you out with the graphics...

Proud Us and Rainbow Us sound good. One name that I could think of would be Sutton and proud.
Btw well done, long overdue and well needed

I'd avoid "Proud Us". Bit too close to "Proud Boys" which has a few too many political (especially negative ones in the context of what we're talking about) connotations!

This is an excellent idea - what sort of things would you expect the group to do? Are we talking organised events, socials or a bit of both? Sounds great either way.

Thank you for starting this thread, all good suggestions. I like the sound of "The Ambers" for the name of our forthcoming LGBTQ+ supporters group. From an SUFC perspective, the name needs no explanation. From an LGBTQ+ perspective, Amber Heard is a prominent bisexual actress, as is Amber Rose. Glee Club actress Amber Riley has been a prominent spokesperson for the LGBTQ+ community, and US actress Amber Benson holds the accolade of playing Buffy The Vampire Slayer's Tara Maclay, whose relationship with Alyson Hannigan's Willow formed the first recurring depiction of a lesbian couple in a prime time network series. There's probably other Amber/LGBTQ+ links but those are the ones that immediately spring to mind.
I'll support this new group regardless of its name. As others have said, well overdue. It's about time I had an excuse to wear my rainbow laces..
PS. A couple of years back, Altrincham FC issued a football vs. homophobia rainbow kit. To be best of my knowledge, they were the first football club in the country to do this. Not sure how much demand there would be for a something similar at SUFC, but if one were issued I would certainly be interested in getting one and wearing it with, ahem, pride.

Some great ideas Trev for sure and yes Altringham did a special kit which I did Purchase despite the Alty badge! Hopefully when the world is back to some kind of normality I will be able to have a chat with the powers that be about some ideas we have moving forward

Thanks Lucy, that's good to know. I also purchased that Alty kit, although I've never worn it to a football match as I've never supported the club. I have however worn it in social settings at gigs etc. and have always received positive feedback from people when I've worn it in public, even to the point of people asking me if they can take a photo. I always say yes. Would be great to have something similar here.

There is a Popinjay on the club crest. No need to redesign it.

There is a Popinjay on the club crest. No need to redesign it. TBH the Popinjay is a derogatory term. I believe it is in our Club Crest because it was on the Lumley's Coat of Arms, however to represent an inclusive group the Popinjay is not inclusive at all but I am sure we really do not want to get onto that subject.

How about if a founder member gets some pin badges made, possibly a rainbow design with a U running through it. So anyone in the group could buy one. Thus showing belonging to the group.

Hi Newboy
Thank you for this idea and it is something we can look at. We are currently getting a logo designed and hope to have the groups up and running ASAP.

Whilst I appreciate this may not be for all can we please keep negativity of this post. Can I ask what that statement actually means? Am I allowed to disagree with this, if I am I will make my point and if I am not I will stay silent?
