Loads of progress today and plenty of people to help so thanks to everyone!!
The away dugout (which is now going to be the home one) has been pretty much dismantled with the exception of the brickwork and we're now ready to re-timber.
Much more paintwork as well....nearly all the way round the outside of the ground and it's looking much fresher
I'll post on here tomorrow if we're going to do a midweek slot this week

Any reason why the away dugout is now becoming the home dugout.
How many years of tradition are we breaking?

Can anyone tell me why the away dugout is now going to be the home dugout.
It must be many years that the home dugout has been on the left as the teams come out.

Is it that big a deal?
I don't know why to be honest but with the club moving forward to what is going to hopefully a fascinating new era, i don't think the manager or if anyone else asking for the dugouts to be changed is going to have a massive downward spiral in hope and excitement.

It must be many years that the home dugout has been on the left as the teams come out. 4 reasons that I'm aware of: It was a "suggestion" by the ground grading committee It's bigger It's right behind where the linesman stands It's the one the new manager wanted Progress update tonight - as the weather was minging, we sought refuge indoors and so the gents in the toilets at the Collingwood end are now painted white so you can now see where you're peeing

The FA, in its wisdom, felt that the dug-outs not being equidistant from the half-way line gave us an unfair advantage, which is an obvious conclusion to draw from our home form last season.

If it's down to Dos. it'll be so that your dugout will be closer to the end the linesman runs. so the away team can't intimadate the official

And having read all this, referees will now ask their linos to do the other side - just to spite us.

About bloody time we swapped dug outs. Still, I've heard most ref's in the Ryman run right back linesmen as opposed to left, lol!
