I am sorry for my absence at these working parties, but I have a reason not not attend!! My wife has her night off on Tuesdays and does not work Saturday afternoons. Obviously in the football season I can get away with not being with her on these days, but when there's no football? Now if anyone wants to do anything next Friday, up till 14.30, my rest day or other times. Hay just ask!!

Update from Saturday...the new home dugout is making progress whilst the never-ending paintwork continues! If you don't fancy the Club Profile meeting tomorrow night then why not pop down for an hour from 7pm - Greece v Sweden is going to be a stinker to watch so you might as well!

I will try and make it this Saturday. Like BH I have a wife to keep happy <he's round the 'keeper, the goal is gaping...> Hey, she's married to a Sutton fan; I imagine the door shutting on your way out brings a smile to her face. <It's there! A simple tap in again!>

Plenty more to be done tomorrow still...if the weather's dry, the ground will be open from 10ish for painting to be continued. If it's raining then we'll be planning on getting down about 12.30 to make a start on the changing rooms so please pop down if you can

Loads more progress yesterday as GGL is really starting to look much fresher
Midweek slot this week will be on Tuesday evening again for an hour or two from 7ish to get on with a bit more paintwork. You're probably bored of me asking for help by now but tough!! Please come down and lend a hand if you can!!
If you can't make the evening, then Graham Baker's regular decorating team will be starting on the changing rooms indoors on Tuesday afternon from about 1pm

Apologies....just realised the footie looks pretty exciting tomorrow night so I hope nobody will mind if we cancel the midweek evening work this week!!
EDIT - Kelly and Taz have just told me they'll still be going down there tomorrow night (Tuesday) if anyone fancies an hour or so of painting from 7pm
Graham's team will still be down at the ground tomorrow afternoon.
We'll aim to make a start by mid-day latest on Saturday

Half the metal barriers of the main stand have had a new coat of yellow and looking much better. Should hopefully get this finished on saturday. Front brick work is also getting a coat of white. The old club shop has been smartened up with a coat of paint. Dugout coming along well. Roof to go on this saturday I believe. Some pics of the progress.....

Rain or shine tomorrow, Graham will be down at GGL from 9.30 doing the morning shift and I'll be down from lunchtime onwards. If it's raining, we'll continue with the changing rooms and anything else we can find to do under cover. Otherwise plenty more to be done outside!
Pop down if you can

I feel kind of left out now. Am now free, having finished exam stuff, but I'm off on holiday tomorrow!
Oh well. Keep up the good work, people.

The painting of the front wall of the stand is done, along with 80% of the metalwork on the 'away' (left of the pic) side. This isn't the best angle. It looks f*cking SO much better from opposite on the far side of the ground. I just couldn't be arsed to walk that far round for the pic!

Getting towards crunch time now as we reach the end of June and whilst it's been good to have 12-14 people down every Saturday so far, we need as many bodies as possible to help finish off the jobs so far started. The dugout should be fnished this week, but Graham's Tuesday afternoon team could do with a hand giving the changing rooms a lick of paint and there's still loads to be done outdoors.
Please come down either Tuesday afternoon (from 2pm) or Tuesday evening (from 6.30pm ) if you can!!
