Do you give the ground a fresh coat of paint every year? I don't even want to think about that at the mo!

I got to say the ground is looking best it has in years thanks to the hard work put in. The only thing that worries me is the all white paintwork around the ground after PD stated he wanted us to have white socks because they were easier to pick out Now I am not saying nothing lads but another bad season and it'll be the walls to blame ;D

Aren't you only allowed one green bin? Top work by the way. Do you give the ground a fresh coat of paint every year? As Stewart says, certainly not to the extent that has happened this year. Thanks to a generous donation from the Vice-Presidents as well as significant funding from SUST, we've been able to purchase well in excess of 4-figures worth of materials (and there's still more to come Rambo - don't look at the SUST bank account for a while ). A so far excellent response by both supporters and believe it or not people who don't even come to GGL has allowed us to get on with so many tasks that just need doing to make the ground look presentable. I'm going to keep banging on though..... please spare some time over the next couple of weeks if you can!! Graham's team will be down on Tuesday afternoon, I'll be there from 7ish tomorrow evening and Taz is planning to go down there on Thursday (his birthday!) to tick a few more tasks off as we're now just 2 weeks from the start of pre-season....Taz will confirm timings for Thursday. Also, a small plug to request that as the SUST bank account is looking slightly emptier than it was a couple of months ago, please download an application form from www.suttonunitedsupporterstrust.org.uk/html/join.html and join if you haven't already done so!! If you haven't got a stamp, then you can even join online! Finally, if anyone wants to see first-hand what's been done so far then they can always have a look around after the Q&A session on Thursday

You should see the look on Gareth's face every time we tell him we need more yellow gloss for the metalwork. Certainly brings out the scotsman in him! ;D

My humble apologies to all at SUST as I hadn't got round to joining. I have now so the coffers have been boosted a little.

A so far excellent response by both supporters and believe it or not people who don't even come to GGL Two of those people who don't even support Sutton but have been down to help have been my girlfriend Sam and my best mate Ross, who I'd like to say a big thank you too. Sam only comes as she knows she won't get to see me on a Saturday otherwise and Ross must just be mad, but he's seemed to enjoy it so far. Hopefully I'll be able to persuade him into coming along to a few matches once the season starts and my plan of getting him hooked on Sutton will have worked ;D

I'll be down the ground tomoorow (Thrusday) from hopefully about 12-1ish. So if you're at a loose end, pop on down. Loads of little jobs still to do!

Simon - if you want to you can always pop down but most of us will be in a SUST committee meeting. Let me know if you still fancy it and I'll make sure you can get in

Ok, change of plan....Simon will be down there from 7pm tonight so if anyone can help him, the tunnel area needs some attention! Cheers

Early start again this Saturday......we'll be down from 9.30 and the tasks are never-ending. Don't worry about the weather as there's plenty to do inside and outside. If you can come down to the ground at any point during the day, you're help will really be appreciated

Gareth - About the toilets at the end of the Main Stand. Has the necessary work been done yet? The toilet sign also needs to be upgraded in order to let everybody know they exist! It is my hope that we can prohibit public access to the tunnel during play.
