Of course the Robin Hood was described as a hotel when the club came into being there.

Ah The Robin Hood. I miss you. My go to pub whenever I could get to a match day.

Such things happen in the hood, or so I am told. Pray tell...

A wooden menu board detached itself from the ceiling at one one and swung down past my nose. If I'd been a little closer to the bar I doubt I would have survived the impact to the side of my head.

After yesterdays results (and again assuming Dover's results binned, and one point given for each game in hand) we have, with twelve games to play:
Sutton United 30 46 23 60 Hartlepool 30 39 27 53 Torquay 30 46 29 51 Notts County 30 34 20 50 Stockport 30 37 24 47 Wrexham 30 37 28 46 Eastleigh 30 34 25 46 FC Halifax 30 43 33 45 Bromley 30 42 34 44 Chesterfield 30 38 28 43 Maidenhead 30 40 36 42 Boreham Wood 30 35 31 40

I'm looking at "maximum points" - so if each team won all their matches, where would they be? (again presume all points related to Dover get binned, and games appropriately
Sutton - 15 games left (45) + 57 = 102 Hartlepool - 12 games left (36) + 53 = 89 Torquay - 15 games left (45) + 48 (Dover adjusted) = 93 Stockport - 15 games left (45) + 44 (Dover adjusted) = 89 Wrexham - 13 games left (39) + 44 (Dover adjusted) = 83 Notts County - 17 games left (51) + 45 = 96 Bromley - 15 games left (45) + 41 (Dover adjusted) = 86 Hailfax - 14 games left (42) + 43 = 85 Eastleigh - 15 games left (45) + 43 = 88 Boreham Wood - 13 games left (39) + 39 (Dover adjusted) = 78 Chesterfield - 16 games left (48) + 39 = 87 Maidenhead - 17 games left (51) + 39 = 90
Of course teams play each other so it's impossible for more than one side to win all their remaining games, but it gives you an idea of what's mathematically possible. If we took 86 as a benchmark to win the league, Halifax, BW and Wrexham can't get there, whilst other sides could just scrape over that line. It also shows how teams like Maidenhead are not out of the hunt yet by any means!

Yikes, it's not just our opponents that struggle with hard fixtures in Sutton! Glad to hear you got through it unscathed.

Three tricky away fixtures coming up against clubs on the fringes of the play-off places (Bromley, Halifax, Boredom Wood). I'm going to make a bold(ish) prediction and say that if we emerge from that little run still top of the table (which would be Easter weekend) then we'd go on to win the title.

What's this pub team in 'Surrey' thing? Sutton is in Sarf London in it If my memory serves me correctly it originates from a comment on Torquay's forum about us when they dropped out of L2.
