To say that thoughts of finishing top are limited, on the Notts C fans' forum, would be an understatement.

To say that thoughts of finishing top are limited, on the Notts C fans' forum, would be an understatement. I was following their forum during the Aldershot match and I was surprised at the extent that they’d given up on their own team (considering they’re still in a play-off position, with games in hand). This post, at the final whistle, was rather amusing: "Absolutely disgraceful!!! Utter utter garbage!!! Ffs Burchnall knocked out the cup by part timers who looked unfit and this is the responses !?!!?! For Christ sake play the youngsters. No way am I wasting my money on this garbage again this season." (sic) The Notts County v Wrexham match is an early kick-off on BT Sport on Friday. I might try and catch it and see for myself how justified they are with their rantings.

Update after the holiday games:
Sutton 11 games left (33) + 63 = 96 Hartlepool - 8 games left (24) + 61 = 85 Torquay - 11 games left (33) + 57 = 90 Stockport - 11 games left (33) + 52 = 85 Notts - 13 games left (39) + 52 = 91 Chesterfield - 13 games left (39) + 48 = 87 Halifax - 12 games left (36) + 47 = 83 Wrexham - 11 games left (33) + 47 = 80
We still have to play Torquay, Hartlepool and Notts County.
Currently on PPG, we are still leading the division (and the only side with more than 2 PPG). In terms of the other play off sides, if the season ended now on PPG, Torquay and Hartlepool would be in the play off semi finals, and the other matches would be Notts C v Halifax and Stockport v Chesterfield. Halifax play Chestefield on the last day of the season, which could be quickly repeated the following week!

Here's another one for the stattos...average league positions of remaining opponents for the top 5.
Notts County have the toughest run-in at 9.54, followed by Hartlepool (10.75), Torquay (11.09), Sutton (12.82) and then Stockport (14.09).
We are very much helped by still having a pair of games against Barnet, plus Weymouth and Woking. Meanwhile 8/9 of Notts' remaining 13 games are against (current) promotion/play-off chasers.

If it takes a man a week to walk a fortnight how many apples are in a barrel of grapes?

I agree with Billy
We are on a great run and long may it continue but there are so many things that can happen in the next 6 weeks or so. There are things we can control and things we can’t. Why put any more pressure on the team by doing these constant predictions??
