May I respectfully suggest that if people wish to discuss when the crowds should return, sooner or later, or to revisit the divisive subject of the initial re-opening, that they do so on another thread? Please?
And let's keep this one for the joyous aspects of this result.

Hmmm, Halifax. Played a game more but still 13 points off the pace. Maybe the only team I'm watching is Sutton. I remember Sutton being around 13 points behind Ebbsfleet in the National South title winning season before embarking on that amazing run. Given the games to play and squad size etc I'd go with Hartlepool being the ones to keep an eye out for. Even though Sutton have three games on them you still have to win 'em. Now watch Sutton stroll to the title and this post get bumped every two months.

Yeah, Halifax are coming under the radar a bit. Their current form is mirroring ours with 5 wins and a draw from the last 6. Huge game coming up at their place on the 27th.
I've just looked at the latest odds - we're 9-4 ON to win the title! This is crazy!

Expunging Dover's results to get to 86 points each teams would need to take this amount of points out of their maximum possibility assuming i've done my maths correctly. Sutton 30/48 Hartlepool 36/39 Torquay 41/48 Wrexham 42/42 Stockport 43/48 Halifax 43/45 Notts County 44/54
On current form there is only one of those 7 teams I see capable of doing such a thing and they already sit top. I think 86 might be on the upper bound of what we might need.

I'm more worried about the away game at Dover - they haven't lost a game for months...

I'm sure Matt is right to take one game at a time, but Halifax are currently joint top of the form table with us. Our next two opponents, Stockport and Bromley, are 5th and 4th. Then we go to Halifax. If we get to Easter still top of the league table there'd be very good reason to think we're staying there.

Here's the post-match interview with the Chesterfield manager. Do I detect a whiff of sour grapes?

Here's the post-match interview with the Chesterfield manager. Do I detect a whiff of sour grapes? Maybe 😅 There is more respect shown by their fans on the Chesterfield forum.

Yes, I’d be worried as a supporter hearing that interview. Making excuses and a lack of clarity that their side was second best. Maybe his viewpoint will change on reflection. Also seems to be another manager thinking their brand of football is so much more pleasing to the eye - hmm, not much good shuffling it sideways having the opposition consistently pinching the ball off you in my humble opinion. He’ll need better players if he wants to play a passing game and find more of a cutting edge.

I'm more worried about the away game at Dover - they haven't lost a game for months... And they are just behind 3rd placed Torquay in the form table

Again for a quick comparison, here are the points got by each previous league winner (and the position they were in) after 26 games
Barrow - 49 (1) Leyton Orient - 53 (1) Macclesfield - 48 (1) Lincoln City - 55 (1) Cheltenham Town - 56 (1) Barnet - 55 (1) Luton - 56 (1) Mansfield - 44 (6)
Again for comparison, the 26th game for most clubs took place around the Xmas period. Mansfield are the odd one out as they had a lot of games in hand and their 26th game happened at the start of February that season. We've currently matched Cheltenham and Luton, both sides went on to register more than 100 points by the end of the season.
Our PPG is now at 2.15. The record for this league is Crawley Town in 2010/11 who got 2.28 PPG (and finished the season with a record 105 points)

Here's the post-match interview with the Chesterfield manager. Do I detect a whiff of sour grapes? Sour grapes?? No. Truthful answers to local journalists. History of a recent defeat at Stockport in very similar circumstances (clear refereeing error) may have been in his mind. He was complementary of yourself and diplomatically side stepped the question of your morally corrupt tendency to surround/pressurise the ref.I called foul straight away and I was 3 miles away!!! and with the proximity of the line couldn't understand why he didnt flag. If the situation was totally reversed (ie we had won 1-0 in the same circumstances) and having watched/listened to your managers input into the game from the touchline what do you feel his after match comments would have been, more crushed grapes, I guess. Oh and the stand roofs did appear curved without gaps at the rear wall.

I've spent 3 weeks of the last 17 months in the UK (2 of which in quarantine in a bedsit round the back of Gatwick!), am sitting in quarantine again having just got back to Europe from S America, and have found myself experiencing a serious dose of 'saudades' as the Brazilians would say - I miss home, I miss the English countryside, I miss pubs, I miss my sadly infrequent trips to GGL*.
But what a tonic last night was! Of all the recent commentaries and streams I've managed to tune in to, this really was one that stirred the emotions. Superb energy and commitment all the way to the end. The team works so hard for the collective. Bugiel and Davis were immense. The defence close to flawless. Wilson looks clinical - just the addition you want as the business end approaches.
I'd marked this down as our last 'killer' away trip of the season - the rest of the long-distance schleps are Saturday/Bank Holiday games, with our furthest remaining Tuesday trip appearing to be to Eastleigh (assuming no Dover). A good thing to tick off! Now a sequence of games against 6th, 8th, 5th to round of March fixtures...the last of which coincides with Stockport v Hartlepool. A lot to come in the next fortnight but boy is it exciting!
*I am running a lot of scenarios to see how I can manage a UK quarantine to have a chance of being there on 22nd May if various stars align...
