OMG - I think I have gone insane tonight - The stream was great the goal was sweet. and very dodged performance by both sides.

Incredible from Torquay. Seems like every game. Another one in the 7th minute of ‘stoppage’ time when 4 were indicated. Of course something might have happened for all that extra time.
As to us great to win. We dominated the game after Barnet had a brightish opening but they were hard to break down. Every game in this league is tough, they’ve got some good players, it’ll be another hard game at their place. On to Saturday, you’d think we need another win.
Would also say commentary much improved tonight and also were very decent for the injury to the keeper.

If only a few more people would jump in this could shape up as 'edgiest thread of the year (thus far)'. Even the opening posts were a bit tense. C'mon, we can do this! Point the gun at me? BANG!!!

Yes dogged performance, but still a good win against a team that not lost in four. I fault Omar had a good game holding up the ball and also his goal, so now on too Saturday and another must win for me. It’s still in our hands ⚽️.

Tough game, and had Barnet's regular keeper been able to play the 90 minutes then perhaps we'd be looking at one point from this encounter rather than three. Their game plan was pretty clear - defend in numbers, press any Sutton players who got close to the danger area, and use the pace and dribbling ability of their front men on the counter-attack. If we need something from our last game of the season at The Hive then we now know what to expect.
In the first half, as at Eastleigh, our deliveries into the opposition box were disappointing. They did improve in the second, and it was following a Rob Milsom corner that Omar hooked into the net. Boy, did we need that goal! Back up to 2nd, but we've not looked very convincing in the last two matches.
That very late Torquay winner was a bit of a sickener, and we wait to see how Aldershot react when its our turn to host them on Saturday.

Great point re Aldershot and their reaction. A really fast start is more important than ever on Saturday.

Absolutely crucial 3 points.

Didn’t see the Altrincham game but the last two have convinced me that Tanto is wasted on the left. The pressing game is only effective with him down the middle and he gives us a get out from long clearances.
First half neither wide player were in the game.
I retract my comment from an earlier thread. Perhaps we should try Rhys Brown on the left in the absence of Randall with Bugiel partnering Tanto. After all that is how we have played most of the season.

To my mind you have to find a place for Kenny in the starting line up, as soon as he came on the door shut on Barnet, before that they had a threat. I think that would give Harry more of a free role to create as well?

How about a 4-1-4-1 line up on Sat? Kenny sitting and 5 pushing on?

Saturday is very interesting- Torquay play in form Eastleigh, Stockport are at Halifax and Hartlepool play Chesterfield. We of course host Aldershot.

How about a 4-1-4-1 line up on Sat? Kenny sitting and 5 pushing on? Would be surprised if Matt started fiddling around with systems at this stage given how well 442 has served us over the course of the season, though your suggestion is certainly an option. He certainly seems to have a set and fairly rigid pattern of play which has clearly led to fantastic results. (Or even 4-2-3-1 with the wide men and Harry the ones with complete licence).

Well that wasn't an easy watch until Omar blasted in the goal. I would agree that we need Tanto up front with maybe Rhys Brown starting on the left. Don't see Matt changing his formation and its difficult to see how Kenny could slot in without leaving out the skipper or Harry. We need Omar to hold the ball up front which he is very good at doing.

Any news on the Barnet keeper? I saw around nine minutes of injury time and heard that he left on a stretcher but I didn't watch the game.
I hope that he is OK.
