Hartlepool are out of the title equation now. We're guaranteed to be no lower than third.

We can still win the league next weekend regardless of tomorrow’s result. Even if Torquay win tomorrow, a Sutton win and a Barnet win (!!) will see us over the finish line.

And as a separate side issue (if anyone is bothered) the race for a play off spot is getting interesting too. Eastleigh in 10th still have a chance.

Actually I think Bromley's result today was outstanding, but yes - Eastleigh look good for a playoff spot.

A colleague at work (who supports Torquay as his second team) Swindon is his first (unlucky sod) has text me to say he reckons Hartlepool will play a weakened side next week as they’ll now concentrate on the play offs! Suits me. He’s also conceded the title to us! Well he is a Swindon supporter so hasn’t much confidence in any teams he follows at the moment! 🙂🙂

Out of interest, has any non-league manager ever taken a club to the Football League for the first time in their history in their first ever season as a professional manager? If it's never been done before, that would be quite the achievement if it ever happened, and arguably the most impressive debut non-league managerial feat since Chris Wilder bagged 9th tier Alfreton Town the quadruple in 2001/2. This is a purely hypothetical question, obviously.

With the away game against Barnet to come, Sutton are currently unbeaten in the league this season against every side that is currently outside the top 10.

I dunno why Torquay's fans (on forum) are getting quite so pessimistic. They must have an evens chance of winning tomorrow, followed by two easy matches. We still have to deal with Hartlepool.
OK, we've shown strong, today. But I do think they can still keep their chins up.

I will be very surprised & also disappointed if we play a weakened side next week, as we want to finish 3rd so we get a home game in the play-off semi-final.

Why would Hartlepool play an under strength team? They will still want to beat us.

Great win that at a very difficult place to go, so well done all involved. We had too be patient, so when the goal came there was only one winer, also Louis goal was a beauty from that distance. So tomorrow will be close game.
