Not specifically. If the injuries have cleared up and players have tested negative for Covid, then it's entirely feasible that match can go ahead. The automatic "10 day" Covid period for the entire team I don't think applies anymore (as seen during pre-season)

I will find out about the iFollow question and let you know. As this now becomes a 'displaced Saturday fixture' there is a chance that the rearranged game will be live streamed but it isn't certain.

There is a risk that a wee bit of a gap could now open up at the bottom of the L2 table. Still early days, of course, but not something anybody wants.

I think there will be far more of this kind of thing with other clubs throughout the winter.

There seems to be a view amongst some people that COVID has gone away. it clearly hasnt.

Like everyone else, I'm gutted about the postponement. Train tickets booked, was ready and looking forward to the game. A big empty football shaped space in my Sutton Saturday.

As we're in a whole new league, does anyone know if there is a time limit to when the rearranged fixture needs to be played by? Is it the standard within a month of the postponed fixture?

I cant guarantee that I can make the rearranged fixture, so will be looking for a refund..

The only positive I can think of is that the enforced break will give Tanto a bit more time to get fully fit.

If the Covid test results only came back this morning what else could they have done?

Postponement also has to be agreed by the efl/fa hence the late announcement.

No real concern over injuries from Matt in his pre match interview this week and only one on international duty would suggest a number of players have contracted the virus. They may of course be symptom free. Let’s hope so.Not sure how many of the squad will have been double jabbed. Even so Omar unlikely to need to self isolate. I wish everyone well.

This is inevitable I am afraid with over 30,000 new cases daily.

EFL Regulation 28 applies

28.1 In the event of any League Match not being played ... it shall be played on a date to be mutually arranged, but at the earliest reasonable opportunity. Both Clubs shall notify The League of such arrangements within seven days of the postponement being identified, for the approval of The League. Any League Match not so arranged shall have its date fixed by The League.
