Hi, I will be travelling to Sutton by train - to Euston then from St Pancras to West Sutton on Thameslink. I've heard a rumour that West Sutton station may be closed on that day. Does anyone have any info on this please?

They're always mucking about with the trains. They ran there last week. Best to check closer to the time.

Just checked. No engineering works planned for 9th October. West Sutton station should be open as normal. (There were weekend closures in August/September, but that work has now finished.)

But the trains run less frequently and can be unreliable at times, so its best to get to the main stn in good time to catch the train to West Sutton. If you fancy a pub on the way then you can take your pick by getting of at the main Sutton station and walking through the high street which is about a 15m+ walk to Ground.

Of course you could always have a drink in our bar. Very friendly and we need the money...

Can he? Thought bars were for home supporters only at the moment?

Fair enough, the preview had specifically referenced home supporters being welcome. There was certainly a bunch spending their money at the cricket club instead!

Hopefully someone can clarify that. It would certainly be a shame if it's no longer allowed.

I met some Carlisle fans who asked where the cricket club was. I told them they could use the SUFC bar but they told me the man with their tickets was driving down to meet there. By using the CC bar it entitled him to park free at the CC.

Hello again! Can you tell me where the away seating is please? I thought it was behind the goal next to the away terrace but looking at the film on Quest I can't see it! Thanks.

Hello again! Can you tell me where the away seating is please? I thought it was behind the goal next to the away terrace but looking at the film on Quest I can't see it! Thanks. It's a small stand by the corner flag. Unfortunately the new small stand the other side of the away terracing won't be completed until towards the end of this month so you only have one stand for seating.

Thanks for that. I assume it's quite narrow but higher than the terrace? I appreciate you have had a load of work to do on the ground since promotion, especially the new pitch, so I understand why this will take time. When you come to Vale you will see the big Lorne Street Stand to the right of the away end - this was started in 1998 and still isn't finished!

Only ever been to Vale Park once before, to see Huddersfield, so I’ll seriously consider going on the coach to see Sutton later this season. If memory serves, the rake in the large away stand is very shallow, so viewing wasn’t great with a large away support, but am I right in thinking this end isn’t being used this season?
