We were talking about this on Saturday - is it correct that we've never lost in the 2nd round? (No pressure lads!) We lost in the 2nd round in 1995, away to Hereford. And again in 2011, home to Notts County. (Those two became rather familiar nemeses in the Cup!)

I've still got my Monday morning head on, but I'm pretty sure we've bowed out in the 2nd round three times... In the 1981-2 season, we lost 2-1 away to Swindon Town. In the 1995-6 season, we lost 2-0 away to Hereford United. And in the 2011-12 season, we lost 2-0 at home to Notts County. I think that's all of them, but I could be wrong.

Now you mention it I think Andy mentioned all of those (all of which I was aware of but had forgotten) and the information seems to have fallen straight out of my brain The Hereford one is particularly silly because that was the round after my first ever Sutton game and it definitely stuck in my mind!

He he I think the salient point was we have won more in the 2nd round than we have lost (Cheltenham, Torquay, Aylesbury, Peterborough and Barnet)

And in all those 8 games in the 2nd round, none ever went to a replay.
It's odd to think as a non league club, our 3rd round record isn't awful either, winning more than we've lost. Although oddly enough, we've gone to a replay more than we've lost in 3rd round.
1969/70 - W (v Hillingdon Borough) 1987/88 - L (v Middlesbrough) 1988/89 - W (v Coventry) 1993/94 - L (v Notts County) 2016/17 - W (v AFC Wimbledon)

I think there must be a number of forum users who are “working from home”.

Thanks to localboy for his spot, but this seems to be the 100th FA Cup campaign for the Us. 25% of them have seen us in the FA Cup proper.
Before yesterday it was 24 times out of 99 as a non league club. That's actually really impressive. There would have been a number of non league clubs who have taken part in as many campaigns as us that have not get anywhere near that.

I see that Hayes & Yeading got stuffed 3-0 at home by Worthing yesterday in the Trophy. We must have burst their bubble !
