Finally back to the league.
One point and 4 goals is the difference between us and our opponents. They've got decent home form and until very recently had almost a bulletproof defence, but their issue is still the lack of goals. 11 goals in 15 games is usually associated with teams near the bottom, so it's a testament to their defence that they are still in 11th.
November provides a lot of familiar grounds for us, and of course we've been to Tranmere a couple of times where we came away with 3 points one time and unluckily came away with 0 points the other. Aside from that though, it's a fantastic ground and Tranmere fans always struck me as some of the nicest "ex football league" fans we came across in the National league (barring those 2 REALLY drunk fans the first time we played them at GGL!)

Tranmere's first six league games of this season yielded a grand total of four goals.😯 Their last six have yielded thirteen. So they're opening up.
My recommended pub (as some will already know!) is Gallaghers in Birkenhead (20 Chester St CH41 5DQ). Some of our fans have assembled here on our previous visits to Tranmere. It's handy for the ferry terminal and Hamilton Square station, and for cabs or buses on to Prenton Park. Expect a good choice of beers (possibly including some from local brewery Brimstage) and ciders, with hot food also available. Military memorabilia abounds. The pub once famously included its own barber's shop, though that closed a few years back.

Probably enabled them to economise around the fringes!

Their final customer was Russell Means.
He got the last of the mohicans.

I don’t recommend the syrup sponge.

If you've got a syrup then at least you won't need a barber

I did hear that a great painter used to drink in there, I don’t know his name only that he was a tonsorial artist.

Lovely ground but a bit of an uphill hike from Rock Ferry station . Pick up the Mersey Rail Wirrall line at the side of Lime Street station.
Sadly can't make this one but good luck to all travelling. It would be a good place to win at.

If all of our recently injured players (except for Harry) are available for selection, then I think that Matt may have a difficult job deciding who to leave out of the 18 man match day squad leave alone picking the starting X1. Seems like a number of players did their chances of being selected today no harm at all with their performances against AFC Wimbledon in mid-week.
