Afternoon all. The total attendance for Saturday was 14658. I am unable to find out our numbers.Does anyone know? Surely this goes down as our highest ever attendance for a league game in our history? And also 10x bigger than our lowest attendance this season (1460 v Salford). Just for reference, our home match v Stevenage in the league was our lowest home crowd of the season so far - 2,427. Looking at the fixtures, I can only really see one being lower than that at home. And that will be the visit of Salford on a Tues night in Feb (the same Salford that took virtually single figures to an FA Cup game at Dagenham) Looking back on Saturday, I would say we've had our toughest run of fixtures completed. We are unlikely to have that many injuries at the same time, and certainly won't have that many away fixtures all at once, and midweek ones to add to the pressure.

Apparently they include all ST holders. Many have said that no way was that many in the ground with the odd Bradford fan saying it was nearer 10000.

I feel as though I've just got back given the delay on the train coming back yesterday! What a wonderful weekend and a great stadium to visit. The Bradford fans I met before and after the game were all decent people.
Shame the ref/lino missed the goal/handball that could have reduced Bradford to 9 men.

Have a look at what I said and predicted on page 1 of this thread. Seems I was spot on with the numbers. It’s well known that Bradford City’s announced attendance’s for games are notoriously exaggerated, and include all the many hundreds, if not thousands, of ST’s they’ve given away for free to schools and organisations, plus everyone that bought multi-year ST’s a few years ago at £100 a season, even if they don’t physically attend. I was simply trying to alert SU fans but it seems some took the information wrongly. I’ve been to VP many, many times, and there were NOT over 14.5k there on Saturday, just as there weren’t 16.5k at the game I was at.

With all due respect, Bradford are not the first club to do this and won't be the last.
For those of us who a couple of seasons ago were playing in front of 6/700 at places like BW, Maidenhead, Braintree and Guiseley, playing in front of what was quite obviously a 5 figure crowd is the salient point.
How many times has that happened in the last 50 years? Norwich for sure. FA Trophy final 81. Can't think of anything else.

I’ve got a ST at Sutton for starters and have seen plenty of non-league over many years, although probably 90% of all games I’ve seen (and I’ve been going to games since 1964-65) have been in the football league. Way back in pre-season I posted on here the fact that in the EFL that stated attendances were almost always NOT the physical attendance, but it seems many on here either didn’t believe me or didn’t want to believe me. I respect the likelihood that the majority of SU fans going away don’t have that knowledge or experience of the clubs in the EFL yet, and all I tried to do in my initial post on this thread was to alert posters to the fact that Bradford City are infamous for inflating their stated attendance. Other examples of me trying to help/advise SU fans - I’ve made comments about Northampton, parking at Crawley and issues with Port Vale’s ground in an effort to try to help SU fans. Maybe I shouldn’t bother in future.

Away to Middlesbrough. 17000 or so ? Away to Peterborough was officially given as something like 3500 but I thought there were way more than that...
