What is this naughty step. In my earlier post I got the name wrong. To which I apologised.

In my earlier post I only wished both players the best of luck for their future.

Out of respect for the players, if nothing else, is it possible for posters to actually spell their names correctly? In the last 2 posts alone Tobi has been spelled as Toby, Casey referred to as Callam, Kylian as Killian and Coby as Toby! Sorry Toenail.

And also some people have spelt Matt's surname wrong recently too....I've seen it written as Grey at least twice....one of those was from SUFCTV....it was on the Twitter interview with John Motson, when subtitles were added

I always take extra care when typing Matt Gruyère's name...

I probably expected Tobi to perhaps get a loan until the end of the season somewhere but I think it’s good business for all parties as his game time has been severely limited this season.
Maybe Tanner or Mutale can step up from the academy to fill Tobi’s place in the squad?!

I can see why Tobi was let go. Almost every game we start with either Tanto or Donny and Omar or Ritchie. Invariably those pairs are swapped on 70mins. Tobi wasn't a similar striker to either pairing, so it was always going to be tough for him to make a start.
If one gets injured then the other player in that pairing gets a full 90 mins rather than 70/20. If we're without Tanto or Donny, we could possibly play one of the wingers in that front role (usually Enzio or David, both of whom are more similar to those two than Tobi was).
No issue with Tobi, or his ability. He just didn't fit the system Matt wanted to play. I really wish him the best of luck at Carlisle.

Kylian I got wrong but have only ever heard his name not seen it in print and that is how I have previously seen it (from someone who spells it as I typed).
Coby to Toby must have been an auto correct as definitely typed C.
The answer to my question is no longer needed as I have heard elsewhere
(Read this back and could sound stroppy only meant to explain not disrespect but genuine mistakes, and apparently staying for the rest of season.)

Danny Cowley the Portsmouth manager was at Bristol Rovers v Sutton on Tuesday night. He apparently likes a number of Sutton's young players and was reportedly watching them with the Summer transfer window in mind.

With Cowley at Bristol Tuesday evening. Is this the start of possible interests from other clubs for our Stars in the summer transfer window.

Is4 there is still a lot to play for this season so to early to talk about summer transfers. Cowley just might be taking in a game and the last thing I’ll say is, we have a very ambitious board, so the future is bright.⚽️⚽️

Banjo. I quite agree with you. What I said was "Is it the beginning of clubs starting looking at our stars" Of course there is plenty of time between now and the end of the season. We know we have a great board and management that will see us through any possible dealings etc.

The club has not got in the way of our players taking the opportunity to ‘step up’ before - whether or not the new found ‘league status’ makes us more reticent to let go of players remains to be seen. Holding onto our better (or promising) squad members will, of course, be a task, and this is when the manager’s contact book comes into play.
Smaller fish in larger pond. We will cut our cloth to still be able to swim with comfort.
