And who will be the first "lucky" away fans to get to use the new facility? Tranmere Rovers? How long does the project take to complete and have "signed off"?

And who will be the first "lucky" away fans to get to use the new facility? Tranmere Rovers? How long does the project take to complete and have "signed off"? It won't be that long before my posterior gets to "test" all 282 seats, then it will be down to the Council and our Safety Advisory Group to give the go ahead. However the licence isn't just dependent on the stand itself, but also the sight lines (some of which will be impeded by the smaller standing terrace initially - until we knock that down), the new crush barriers, pitchside perimeter fence, pitch gates, segregation gates, and access routes from the turnstiles and to the emergency gates too. (Plus other Green Guide criteria such as distance from seats to toilets, evacuation flow rates, etc.) With a strong wind we are hoping the "smaller" Rochdale game may be it's possible debut. Not only are we reliant on the above, but tickets need to go on sale in advance so we can't wait until March 5th to make that decision, which is dependent on others also.

Looking good!! Thanks again Tim for your update. Hope all goes well with the various things that still have to be sorted before the stand is opened.

It will enhance that end of the ground. However I wouldn’t want to watch a game seated from that stand. Much too low for a decent view of the pitch. Couldn't agree more, Stewart. Why the Collingwood Terrace was built so low beats me, it's below the level of the pitch! I wish I'd had some input at the time, but "God" ruled! I had my doubts again when I saw the level of the base for the new seating, no levels were shown on the drawings. What ought to have happened is for the seating to be set at a decent height for viewing, perhaps even to allow for some standing in front, the existing terrace construction unbolted, and the new extention carried through, in the same way. (I'll probably gets some flak for this!)

As said before, they would not spend money on a new stand and not get the site lines right. I’m sure it will be a good addition to the ground and every thing will be ok. So just trust the club too get it right.⚽️⚽️

I'm not sure why people are complaining - none of you will ever have to sit there! The club are spending what they need to spend to achieve what they need to achieve to comply with EFL rules regarding away accommodation. If that allows for more money to be spent at the home end in the near future then that surely is a good thing, isn't it?

These are just general observations based on the picture that was tweeted which is what this forum is about.

Slightly off topic. I just hope the rest of the old ground stood up to today’s wind! Both the temporary stands may have been shaken.

You just know those seats are going to be amber 😁 Or chocolate ! That would be better as when we're playing really well there won't be any problems to clear up.
