I think the Club should get rid.
The voices of experience have spoken. Will we not heed them?

Agreed. The Club should bulldoze the new stand and replace it with a 10 foot deep trench. Anyone sitting in the new trench can then view matches through a periscope. If it's good enough for the Royal Navy Submarine Service then it's good enough for away fans.

It was the infantry standing in a 10ft deep trench with water up to their waists viewing the enemy through periscopes and to go over the top they had ladders, so to keep our visitors in place keep the trench but don’t give them ladders especially if we have a visit from the barmy army any time 🙆🏼♂️ Somme might think differently but they’ve probably got mud in their eyes.

It will be for both. It will be used for away fans if the demand is there. That's interesting to know. Thanks Stewart To be clear, and I am sure it's understood, but for any match we have the flexibility to allocate certain sections of the ground to be for either home, or away (and not both), as we need to ensure segregation exists. We are building into our plan a combination of segregation gates such that areas like the "Tardis Terrace" can be utilsed as an extension of either the home, or away end. In extremis we could so the same with the "Parkside Terrace". Depending on what our future phases of development are this provides flexibility around the construction projects, as well as the flexibility around who our opposition might be in any particular fixture and the relative ticket demands of home and away supporters. It is also likely in that next phase, were it to be along either of the two sides, and not ends, of the pitch, we would look at such flexibility in seating and facilities as part of that design and build too.

I know one of the roofers for the new stand. Did see him get a hit by a bit of a hailstorm today!

Looking at that picture. It looks good even from a distance. When I went for tickets on Wednesday the builders were still erecting the stand. They have sertainly moved on and it looks finished?

First of all, great credit to all concerned with running the club for all that has been achieved this season - on and off the pitch. Hard to think that the club could be in better hands. With regards to what is going on off the pitch, clearly our first target is to meet EFL requirements - while taking account of budgetary constraints - and based on AB's excellent latest update we are on course to do so. However, I can't help but feel concerned that the to some extent competing requirements to improve the ground while at least maintaining our on pitch quality may catch up with us at some point. The reality is that while we have made significant and necessary improvements to our ground, it still looks like a 'good non-league ground' relative to the likes of Bradford City and our near neighbours AFC Wimbledon. However, we have seen the impact that the cost of building their new stadium has had on AFC Wimbledon on the pitch as they are yet again battling to avoid relegation and they recently had to sell their top scorer to Wrexham. As we continue to incur off field costs, will Matt be able to keep our best players or even build on the existing squad - particularly if we were to be a League One team next season? Brilliant manager that he is, what we achieve on the pitch is always going to depend on the quality of players available to him. Of course, if we do progress even further on the field, we are going to need to develop our stadium further - with the additional costs that this will entail. Clearly and understandably, we are currently cutting our cloth in line with what we can realistically afford - and doing so as well (if not much better) than anyone could realistically expect. It just appears to me that at some point, for the on and off field progress to be able to continue, we are likely to need to secure some major additional investment above and beyond that we currently have access to.

Every body I spoke to today thought A B's Update was very good and all think the new stand is a great addition to the ground. Thanks again A B.

If it's good enough for the Royal Navy Submarine Service then it's good enough for away fans. Allegedly it has been tried already - at Barrow. When visitors sang "My garden shed is bigger than this." Barrow fans responded with "My garden pond has a submarine."
