Maybe too early to make predictions, but who cares Here are the current odds. They have us as a midtable side. I would be happy with that. What are your views? LEAGUE TWO 2022/23 WINNER ODDS VIA SKY BET Bradford – 8/1 Salford – 8/1 Stockport – 8/1 Mansfield – 12/1 Leyton Orient – 14/1 Swindon – 14/1 Doncaster – 16/1 Gillingham – 16/1 Northampton – 16/1 Tranmere – 16/1 AFC Wimbledon – 20/1 Walsall – 20/1 Crewe – 25/1 Grimsby – 25/1 Newport – 25/1 Sutton – 25/1 Carlisle – 33/1 Colchester – 33/1 Harrogate – 33/1 Hartlepool – 33/1 Rochdale – 33/1 Crawley – 40/1 Stevenage – 40/1 Barrow – 50/1

Looking at the table of odds. It looks like it's going to be a tough season. There are some good teams in there. For me a mid table position is likely.

I think we will finish higher than the bookies have us. They have us lower than Wimbledon and a lot off other teams that we beat. This team is as good as any other teams in this league, it was only squad depth that did us in the end. So with the addition off a few new players we can can push for the play off’s. I know its second season syndrome, but we have a really good team. ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Yes I agree with Banjo. Yes we need a bigger squad ( money allowing ) also to cover any possible injuries. Hopefully not as many as last season.

Transfer window opens tomorrow. Perhaps slightly premature to predict where we will finish next season until we have a better idea who will be playing for us and our opponents.

Will provide a definite prediction nearer the start of the season but am hopeful for next season providing we can add to the squad and keep hold of star assets, thought we might have signed someone by now - Newport have signed 5 already!!

The Doncaster one is interesting as all I keep reading from their fans is that they’re going down again.

Not only that, had us favourites for us to finish bottom, even below Hartlepool. Remember as well how bookies make odds. The more people put money on it, the shorter the odds. Someone could come along and start putting lots of bets on Sutton to win the title, and our odds will shorten. Doesn't mean suddenly we have any better chance of being promoted.

I appreciate that some of us enjoy predicting where our team will finish, but the exercise holds no appeal for me. I'm still just relishing being in League Two! Despite seeing all but one of Sutton's league games last season, I still feel that I don't know this level of football (and its constituent clubs) well enough to make predictions with any confidence. My impression (and Matt has said something similar) is that there's not much of a gulf between the sides at the two ends of the table, and performance shifts can rest on quite subtle factors.
As others have said, forecasting will be a little easier once all pre-season signings have been made.

I’m still in “20th will do” mode. If we can stay in the EFL for a few more seasons, perhaps we can become an established club. Otherwise a Barnet-like future awaits us.

My heart says playoffs, but my mind says mid-table.
I understand some users reservations, but I think that we’ve shown that we belong in the football league. Merely hoping for survival seems like a low bar to set. Time to stop acting like we’re lucky to be here.
