I’d be interested to know about the proposed development park side. On these pages last season someone said we had to do it whether we survived or not. Given nothing has happened that doesn’t appear to be the case? So what is the situation and what are the regulations in terms of requirements should we get back into the EFL (not that I think that’s likely any time soon)? I think we are obligated, but perhaps as we are no longer in the league the time scale may have been given some slack...

To be allowed to play in the Football league again i believe the seating has to be in place by the start of that season. The clock will not get restarted again.

I'd like to congratulate the designers of the wonderful TV gantry! They have got NO consideration for the spectators!

I agree. Considering the space behind there was no need to put posts in the eyeline of those using the covered terracing. It’s now like having a car but only being able to use half the windscreen. Thankfully only for away supporters at the moment and I would think that will not change anytime soon.

Its really frustrating for old boys like me, so much care and thought went into building the old gantry.

It's nice to know we have so many building control experts, as well as those familiar with the latest health and safety legislation. No doubt these experts can explain and share their knowledge on how a load bearing structure of that size can be built that can be safely cantilevered with the ground behind the stand, or distribute its weight on a roof material and stand of that age, without any structure in front.
Perhaps once they admit that isn't possible they could then show how much better it would be to have exposed scaffolding in front when balanced against the fact we have already had one incident this season of an ambulance being required due to a collision with such a soft and forgiving pole. We have also had incidents of people climbing up in another area of the ground.
Meanwhile on the "...help needed..." thread. Tumbleweed.

Sorry Tim but you seem to forget that OS was a genius and everything he did was correct and nobody else was or will be
Even I could work out that a new structure over the covered rec side area would not be supported by the existing roof. Plus the original access was just a ladder up the back of said covering and a h&s no no.
Not sure why it would bother him anyway seeing as he no longer attends matches.
