Just back (I’m in Walton on the Hill). Make no mistake now, this team is starting to look demoralised. Between 20 and 45 minutes SU looked alright, made a game of it and played some nice stuff. O’Brien’s first definitely offside, the second, I’m not sure, probably it was.
Unfortunately once the second went in there were signs of heads dropping. The support seems resigned.
Crawley played some good stuff, unrecognisable from last season.
I don’t know what the answer is, but things have to change and quick.

If we lose at home to Salford on Tuesday then I think Matt and his team should resign. We have already lost to Forest Green at home, we can't keep losing to teams down the bottom with us as we will soon be cut adrift.
These are his players, this is his team and system. The buck stops with him. We are 10 games in, if the players don't know how he wants to play by now and aren't fit enough then that is a failure on the management team.
Who replaces him if he does go? I don't know but what I do know is Matt was an unknown when he came here. I can't imagine we are that unattractive for an up and coming or ambitious manager to want to manage.

The way of the world. Looking for short cuts and easy answers. Sad.
We’ve played 5 of the top 6 now, that gives me hope. We’ve shown enough in games to suggest we can get results this season. Tuesday/Saturday are big games, we could do with at least 4 points.

TAXI FOR MATT GREY . Thank you for all that you have done for our club but NOW it is time to go . You can't even spell his name correctly. I certainly hope that Matt Gray doesn't leaves Sutton.

And the point in that is?? Who takes over then?? Doswell and Collins for a new manager bounce looking less like a knee jerk reaction and more like practical club management every passing week. I’m sure Dos will be worried what is going on here, but I would guess that he would say stay with Matt for now and also think that is what the board will do. He needs more time to sort it out but he will be the first to know his role as manager and keeping us up in this league. ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Matt shuffled the pack today for the game against Crawley, but the result was the same an eleven that could not perform at a level needed for success in League Two. He wanted changes for this season and there is no doubt the players bought in had proven ability, but have not blended as a team. This coming week two home matches are an opportunity to put the smiles back on the faces of SUFC supporters. Fingers crossed for six points.

Tuesday/Saturday are big games, we could do with at least 4 points. Not just Tue/Sat. Although a win against Salford, who it appears were lucky to beat Newport today, is an absolute must, we have winnable home games against mid table Walsall and Morecambe either side of an away trip to fellow strugglers Doncaster. Make no mistake, these four games are HUGE. We're only one win from getting out of the bottom two, and a 9 point haul from 12 would quash the critics. However, if we don't get some results in that lot, I don't think there will be any more excuses and I wouldn't be surprised if Matt walks. Can't see the board sacking him before Xmas, but there will come a point he'll lose faith in himself to turn this around. Not really understanding why we reverted back to a 4-4-2 today. I thought the aim was to make it hard to score against us first and foremost. Need to be scraping 1-0s and 0-0s, not getting tonked by 3 every week. Tuesday will tell us a lot. Matt and the players will know how important it is. If the side comes out fighting and scrapping for every ball, we'll know they still have the guts for it. Another meek performance and we know for sure something is badly wrong and potentially fatal.

Make your mind up? Matt had to go NOW in your first post then after Salford in your second 🙄 In Matt we trust My mind is made up ……. he needs to go now in my opinion . My point was if we lose on Tuesday then surely even the board have to come to the same conclusion .

As most will know, I was not at the game today. Can someone please answer this for me. Did the team play the ball on the ground or was it huff ball. Reading some of the posts it seems another dour performance. Quite agree with comments posted, something has to be looked at. Others have posted about time to sort it out.How much time.for it cannot go on indefinitely.

And this is probably the most delueded comment I've read. Doswell never wanted to go into the football league and Collins effectively sacked from Havant - maybe have a lay down it'll pass and you'll feel better.

Same old, same old, we are not getting beaten we are getting drubbings. Trying to find a positive but failing. Crawley played football. Their right winger was lonely most of the game with two goals coming from his crosses.
I hope I am wrong but at the moment it looks like the club have spent a lot of time and money on just three seasons in the EFL.

I look forward to your still supporting him being in post when we are playing non league football again . Even if Sutton were to play non-league football again, these past two and not even a bit seasons have been one hell of a ride. A point off of the play-offs, a Wembley final, a trip to the third round of the League Cup and an absolute spanking of Notts. County are memories that I'll never forget. Sutton are pretty much punching above their weight as it is, having people like you asking for the manager to go just because things are bad right now doesn't help. And this club very rarely, if ever, sacks a manager.

Whilst is appears we have conceded some easy goals, we have hit the woodwork and had two goals disallowed away against a team 2nd in the league. The team have time to put this right.
