We used to hold one despite the mandatory requirement being removed. It stopped with Covid.

Just out of curiosity, what would it take to have it re-instituted?

Just out of curiosity, what would it take to have it re-instituted? manners Was that an impolite question? If the club felt it appropriate to continue with AGMs despite them not being mandatory, and covid now being in abeyance, could they not restart them? For the same reasons they had for keeping them going in the first place. This has been a thread partly concerned with lack of communication. Has it not?

I have been saying for a long time now that the club is not the same as the old NL one, and that its shareholder base thus owner base has changed. In itself that is not a criticism just an observation, the board does not have to be as open as it once was.
Clearly the club didn't pay whatever sum it was, because it did not have the money. I know Rob, and he is on the ball so I very much doubt he has made a mistake.
Yes I think the club should clarify its financial situation, and I suspect the new director may also be an investor and that may have some part to play in this.
However as stated, no one needs to tell us anything..

Just hoping the club is being run financially the way it always seems to have been. We don't want to be a club that over stretches itself.

Come on Dave, let us trust the club to run the club because to keep asking questions gets you know we’re. You can also go and ask any board member questions because to keep going on gets tiresome.

Yes, was saying the club was impolite for not having them, not you. I.e. using manners as a noun not an interjection.

Nowhere near the promised 2000 home fans today. In fact looking around the section of the stadium I steward a lot ofseason ticket holders appeared to have given the game a miss, must be very disappointing for the club. Will the season ticket holders expect their places when we draw the big club in 3rd round?

In a word, yes. I had to miss today due to work commitments. I’m sure others have a reasonable explanation too.

Will the season ticket holders expect their places when we draw the big club in 3rd round? Anyone expecting 2,000 today was off their rocker quite frankly. 1,500 was the maximum we would have squeezed out. It’s basically a day commitment for me to go to home games. I can’t go to them all with a young family. Whilst recognising it was a vital game for the club Fylde are somewhat down my priority list. If that precludes me from a ticket for a big tie in your eyes well so be it.

I think times are hard for everyone TBH, I really don't expect our club to be any different. Given the size of our club and the huge expenditure required to maintain a ELF club, and provide finance for required infrastructure I expect it to be sailing close to the wind.
As fans or even small shareholders we have to trust in the board as we don't have any choice unless someone here wants to buy a controlling interest in the club. I knew the club was looking for new investment (what club isn't) hopefully this new chap has helped in that direction?
I think anyone who invests large sums of money in a football club is completely mad, but they don't do it to throw their money away. I am generally a bit of a moaner but in this situation I can see why the club may wish to keep their lips sealed.
