Having seen the so called hi lights and Matts interview of today's game.( totally embarrassing and apologetic) I wonder if there is any chance of changes to the team / play for next week's game against Mansfield? Waiting in anticipation for a vast improvement right through the team.

I wonder/hope if there’s any chance of you ever putting together a coherent sentence.

I am worried we will suffer another significant defeat. We had two weeks to prepare for Stockport and look where that got us!

Yes .Good point.Must improve my grammar.Opps Sorry. Not just your grammar. Anyway…. There HAS to be a reaction, by the management and the players, and the fans have to do all they can to help. I was at the New Den today watching my first team get a deserved draw with a 97th minute penalty, our first penalty in three years. However, I was keeping an eye on the score at Edgeley Park. All I can say is chin up Sutton United, and keep battling. It’s not over yet.

This is only a suggestion but isn't it a bit soon for this thread?
There's probably still quite a lot more to say about today's match, and the fallout thereof, before we get to next weekend.

Maybe, though some have been looking forward to the transfer window and Plymouth tie even though they're much further ahead, and I doubt anything significant will emerge over the next few days. Saturday might actually tell us more about our survival chances than yesterday's result which perhaps, just maybe, was essentially product of an (extremely) bad day at the office by us and arguably L2's best team's most ruthless performance of the season. Management and players turning things round with a convincing win over Mansfield, like Stockport did post-Aldershot, would give hope that was the case.

We've just lost to the club with the best goal difference in League Two. The club with the second-best goal difference? Mansfield. I'm not getting my hopes up for next Saturday.

For me, with all the draws and more resilient performances we have see, it was a case of was the team playing out their skin to just about not do enough, or were we turnung a corner. I think we have to say we have improved, but yesterday, IMO, showed that the team are mentally exhausted, and a corner has not really been turned. I have come to accept relegation. Yes, with so many games left, who knows, but we continue to look out of our depth. I dont understand the injuries we allways have, for three seasons in a row its been the same, getting to the stage where we worry about even being able to field a team.
As we go into the next game, again, the best I can hope for is another draw, and while I would be happy with that, its not enough.

But this then becomes a thread about 'everything going on', as opposed to one specifically about the Mansfield match. Which, in fact, it already has become. It just gets harder to see who is making what argument where when they're spread over several posts and not properly ringfenced.

Tomorrow at the training ground, could be quite interesting. The air could be quite blue in the post match discussion and analysis between the management and players. Apparently Smith was having words with Matt during the game Saturday. Let's hope things can be turned around. All will be revealed on Saturday.

As I say, it's now a thread about everything going on...
OK.

Blessed is the person who having nothing to say abstains from giving us wordy evidence of the fact.

As I say, it's now a thread about everything going on... OK. Simple solution. If someone were to change the title of the thread to just ‘Mansfield’, it can then be treated as a general thread and a proper match thread can be started nearer to Saturday.
