Tranmere won after Colchester last night and FG drawing.
We’ll soon be needing snookers!

There are a few players who need to be sent packing as soon as possible. Top of that list is bouzanis. How a player can keep his place after such shocking performance as last week is beyond belief. He should not be anywhere near the first team. He's an absolute liability and even his kicking has fallen apart. What on earth was he doing for that first goal? How badly does he need to play for Arnold to get his chance? Not far behind are N guessan and Coley who both need to fck off in Jan. Jackson looks like he can't be arsed so he can go too. A few other players aren't good enough but at least they're trying (Hart, clay). We need six or seven to even have a sniff of a chance of staying up as its clear from today's showing this team is wrecked. No decent manager is going to come near it without financial assurances. It'll be a risk as no way anyone is taking the likes of Coley and N'guessan unless we pay their wages. If we can't afford that, then I'd rather see youth team players given a chance than watch the shower of rubbish produced by those two excuses for football players. At least we can send bouzanis back to Reading in a week. If he's first choice in 2024, I will find something else to do on Saturdays. Have to agree with you some players need to walk i I am afraid . Regarding the manager, I’m sure the board will give him money but must make the right decisions that we can all get behind. ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Tis the season to be jolly so let’s all look on the bright side …… we conceded SIX less goals than last week 😃😃 !
On a more serious side some of our “team” are really not fit to wear the shirt . I can only assume that they no longer want to be professional football players anymore because I’ve no idea who we could offload them to . As has been said above I would rather watch academy players in the first team , at least they would bloody try .
As for our future new manager , who on earth would WANT to manage this group ? I said a few weeks ago that we were going down and I firmly believe that at this rate we could slip straight through the NL next season too . Still , Carshalton fixtures on Boxing Day would be good 😬 .

It's always interesting to see how a player responds after a utter hammering and the manager getting sacked. On the one hand you had Hart, who played his socks off and rightly deserved man of the match. On the other you had Coley, who had by far his worst 45min in a Sutton shirt.
This was an improvement on last Saturday, but not a huge one. There were some bright sparks in there like Dion and, for his cameo, Angol, and it was good to see Milsom back. But in all honesty, Jason didn't really do himself any good in terms of putting himself up for the job full time. I'd also say that those who thought we were in the position we are because Omari hadn't been playing were shown to be quite wrong today.
But also remember we were up against a side that has lost 1 game in the league all season (which was away at Swindon), have the best away form in the league (over 10 games), and have had bigger wins away from home than they got today. If anyone expected an injury ravaged squad who had just had their manager sacked after a record league defeat with an entire squad that didn't contain one fit centre back to get 3 points today, then the delusion sits with them.

Think that spells the end of suttons stint In the football league. Nothing about todays performance showed that the players are good enough or in some cases can't be bothered to try and keep the club up. Gap opens up to 9 points and we aren't getting any points out of our next 2. Leaves us with a near impossible January window to sort the mess out. Thought coley and bouzanis especially were dreadfully poor today.

We played against a good Mansfield team today and it was always going to be difficult.Coley & N'Guessan both had shockers and were rightly subbed at half time.Their passing was poor not helped by a pitch looking the worst for wear with obviously too many games being played on it at present. Deano's kicking is shocking and although i haven't seen it back it looks like he was very much at fault for the first goal. if Rose is fit then we shouldn't be renewing his loan. On the plus side we were very positive in the second half and the substitutions were done at the right time. On another afternoon against a lesser team than Mansfield we could have picked up 3 points.

Still the same.i thought that after last week that there would be an improvement. But no.As been said, there are players who should not be wearing the shirt.I know Jason has had just 4 days to try and turn around things, but it's deep rooted and going to take time, which we have not,to sort out. It will be interesting to see who goes in January. If we continue to play this same style of football then again as been said,it will be National league football next season. Who ever takes on the managers job will have a real problem to sort out.

He had a shocker today but has performed consistently well from what I've seen of him so far this season.

Well that was an absolutely dreadful, lacklustre, shapeless performance. As has already been said some of the players wearing a Sutton shirt today are not L2 standard and need to go. Must say that I was both shocked and disappointed to see that we had not changed our keeper - Deano was truly dreadful again today - he needs to go back to Reading. Sad too, although expected, that Goodliffe's tactics mirrored those that we've had all season - talk about flogging a dead horse! far too predictable. I thought it spoke volumes that many supporters upped and left the ground as soon as the second goal went in.
Sad to say but we totally deserve to be relegated this season - our performances have been truly shocking. The only player who has shown a consistent desire to win is Harry Beautyman. Let's hope that Eastie returns soon to give us some on field leadership and fight.
Whoever our new manager is let's hope he/she changes the playing style and strategy and is able to bring some L2 standard players in.

Hart's energy levels are wonderful - does he run on Duracell batteries? - by far our best player. Not really sure that can be said about Omari based on just one match, especially given the opposition, the best I've seen at GGL this season, largely backed up your stats. If Omari isn't the one to be backing up Smith with goals I'm flummoxed as to who will. I agree Dion was a bright spark but I'm afraid Angol failed to impress me yet again. He either needs to be given a decent run in the side or shown the door. Slightly off-topic but a lengthy, interesting and informative article in today's double-issue programme by Tim Allision not just about the managerial situation but touching on a number of relevant off-field matters. Thank you Tim!

No doubt unless we get someone in who can totally rejuvenate things very quickly then we’ll be gone. Somehow belief and confidence need to be rebuilt almost immediately whilst also fixing some glaring issues. On top of that we can’t seem to get or keep a single centre half fit. Sounds like a tough job! As mentioned in the manager thread we have to get someone very quickly. Can’t see how we can get a result at Wimbledon and it seems the players are of the same mindset. It’ll almost be damage limitation job. But where it’s football there’s hope.
Oddly whilst Mansfield had complete control for most the game, and certainly the first half, our keeper hasn’t really made a save (other than the one for the cameras from the free kick) and they’ve barely created a chance. Whilst Smith really should be putting away 1 of the 2 big chances. Agree Bouzanis lucky to keep his place, even his kicking (which I imagine was a strong reason for selection) has gone badly awry. Easy to pick up on other individuals too of course. Good luck with selection for Boxing Day, for once I’m quite relieved to be missing it and watching from afar (ok come the day I’ll still be a wee bit jealous).

The good news is that it was better than last week, but I think we sat too deep until they scored just inviting pressure which finally told on 25 mins. I fully understand why Jason did that after last weeks hammering, but in hindsight we may of been better playing our usual game from the start.
Sam Hart and Kizzy did a great job at the back, but if the ball just keeps coming back something is going to give eventually and it did. We just don't have an out ball from the back, and we don't have the likes of Bugiel or the old Dundo who can hold up the long ball so something sticks going forward. Its simply through lack of fit players, we need Eastie back big time, and need to get at least 1 or 2 in the transfer window.
We need 12 wins from 24 to have a realistic chance of survival, that is 1.5pts per match starting now, and that is playoff form. Gillingham did it last season with a change of manager and good purchases in the window. If we don't do that we are what's technically know as knackered.
