I didn't make this one, but was following the match on my phone from the south coast. Obviously pleased with the point that hauls us back off the bottom.
I was also checking the Stagsnet forum, on which the home fans were criticising their players (one defender in particular) rather than the ref.

I think that any side in the league going to Mansfield on a Tuesday night would be pleased with a 1-1 draw at a very tough place to go. The work rate was high, the effort was there, its now down to getting wins against lesser sides and those around us. The question is how much of your own money would you put on us going down at 4/7 ? None. Not because I wouldn't bet against us (it feels like a reasonable thing to do given the possibility of a consolation prize) or even because that isn't something I would spend my money on. I think we can get out of this.

Of course you only hear a minority in terms of online etc but they don’t endear themselves to me as a club. From booing a concussion and chanting ‘cheat’ to a general sense of entitlement. Not sure where it comes from as basically a smallish club battling away in the lower leagues for as long as anyone can remember. Might want to spend some money on their pitch rather than players too, surely the worst in the league and can’t help a side that likes to pass it.
Add a captain who spent a lot of the first half in the ref’s ear trying to engineer red cards. I know captain’s are supposed to be the communicator for a team to a ref but this went well above that, should have booked him and told him to shut up.

I think one thing is for sure, we are going to have a good go. Sadly, if we go down it will be a painful one, as we are going to make a fight of it. Previously we would have been relegated by the end of march and at least it would have been a gradual acceptance. There will be tears come the end of the season, from joy or pain.

19 more cup finals. If we play like we did last night we will be fine.

I see the predicted final table on Football Web pages gives us 41 points but finishing above Salford and Forest Green !

True enough, but to get out of this (which I think we can do) we just have to play well pretty much for the rest of the season. We haven't left ourselves any wriggle room. Some wins need to be chalked up.

Especially when we get Smith back and have a bigger aerial threat again.

Another great performance against a really tough side on a very windy Tuesday night 170 miles from home. A top strike from Angol (who was a thorn in their side all game and probably my MoM). But huge credit to our back 5/4 (depending on what part of the game you'd like to refer to).
We put in performances like that week in, week out we will survive.

What I am saying is 4/7 are terrible odds given the stats which do look to give us a @50/50 chance of survival IMO. Our current form puts us on a knife edge for survival, just a slight improvement could see us safe. So I am with you, I think we can do this, 'just'.

Of course, staying up won't just depend on how well we play. Other clubs in the lower reaches of the table have made recent signings that signal their determination to avoid the drop. Tough battles lie ahead.
There's always a chance that one club will descend into a death spiral during the final three months of the season, but clearly we can't rely on that happening.
I'd say our chances of staying up have improved since Steve Morison's arrival, but (so far) not massively - say from 20% to 30%. The next three matches should tell us a lot more. The following three will be a real test. Then it's Colchester at home.
