The squad not performing last season for me was that they fell out with the manager and did not change early enough. Yes we have a lot off new players, that’s why Steve has brought in a new coach to hit the ground running, so lets all just wait and see what happens. ⚽️⚽️⚽️ |

Looks like Ben Goodliffe off to Colchester. A Sutton great but never the same player after his knee injury. If we can get a fee for him it’s a great bit of business. Must keep Omar. |

Just went to my National League winning squad picture. Not that long ago but no one left now other than physios. Even the kit sponsor, kit man and supplier have changed. Micky Stephen’s still at the club but in a different role. That’s about it. |

You have to say, Going by last season then he is a very adequate replacement. As sad as it is to see another face leave us. Well, the side who got relegated has died as a squad, it died along with our first stint in the football league. We have now given birth to a new young team made up of the ashes and pain of the season before (Please excuse my philosophical mood)  I am quite nervous as I think we could use some older heads in the team, especially if Omar and Jackson end up leaving. It would be great if we hold onto Coley as well, who ended last year strongly. But I also get the feeling that Steve has not busted his backside to keep our current players, and has been more than happy investing in up and coming youth. There is also reason for excitement. A very interesting season ahead. |

Goodliffe a big loss and had built up such good experience with us. But we’ll be playing a new way next season so hopefully our replacements are perhaps more aligned to that style.
