Can't deny you the draw chaps.Thoroughly deserved to get the equaliser for you're lads going forward consistently in that 2nd half however up until then (89th minute was it) we were holding out well enough to get the victory.Generally we were dealing with everything that was flung at us until that last minute equaliser. Shame for us we couldn't deal with that one ball over the top but there you go. Onto Tuesday & I honestly can't see us getting a result at your place but you never know!

Just back from the game: First half was abysmal although Margate scored two late goals they were not exactly playing us of the field. The wind was a constant 15-20mph and we decided to join the Ariel lottery we created nothing at all before Margate's tactic of just punting high balls into the box and every opportunity (in fact their only tactic) paid off with 2 defensive errors allowing unmarked players to tap home. We won a corner almost straight away which should not of been given as the play should of been pulled back for shirt pulling and us awarded a free kick on the edge of the box. Jason G downward header was on the stroke of HF and he deserves a lot of credit for turning the match.
Second half Margate attempted to time waste from the first minute and the muppet of a ref fell for every injury (all head of course so attention could take place on the pitch). When the ball was in play Us dominated the play having for once total control of the midfield and generally snuffing out any breaks forward by Gate. The addition of Hann and Joseph gave us width but we really struggled to create anything of quality in front of goal. SP looked the most likely and just after being foiled by Nichols after leaving a defender for dead wondering 'where did he go' he latched onto another ball that the defender seemed odds on to win broke free just outside the box and cooly finished in SP style. We continued to press for the winner but even with 6 mins added on we ran out of time.
2-2 was probably fair but we made hard work against a one dimensional side who were out for the count on the final whistle.

possibly the worst game of 'football' i've seen in a while. Utter dross. Still, we got a draw and a 2nd chance.
Still, bobbins lost @ whitstable. Amusing ;D

Has anybody got a link to a latest score service for today. I don't think the Twitter link is working. Thanks. Just checked and the tweets are there, except for the full time one! In future I will tweet kick-off as the first update has been either a goal or half time so far so at least if ko is tweeted you know that someone is doing it. I did presume that most people would have the commentary from the Margate website but am aware that some people may have their settings applied to receive SUFC tweets to their mobiles so will bear this in mind. As an aside, I will be mising the Tonbridge game (on a stag do) and missing the Dartford (on a course in Solihull) so tweets for these games will be subject to any updates I receive!

I had the commentary on for the 2nd half, and there was a lag of about 90 seconds - so I got Stefs goal update before I heard it a minute and a half later (ive got tweet updates on my phone - useful where i seem to be in the only country in the world where i cant get the net on my mobile)
