Frakey. It was bloody hard work behind the bar at the much loved and missed Blackwater Tavern.Having to accept so many free drinks from satisfied customers was a real pain! I was too polite to refuse on most occasions.A true proffesional dedicated to customer service.

Dos was just pointing out how quiet the "choir" was, although I think he was being very diplomatic and not referring to the negativity coming from behind te goal.
He also mentioned how passionate he was for the club and wanted the fans to show that too! That's why, OS, I think it was actually a bloody good thing that he did yesterday. I wasn't surprised that he did come over. He's been very open and honest since he took charge and has tried to get the team, management and fans to pull in the same direction. It worked last season to a degree and no doubt he's looking for some of the same this season.
Considering he doesn't take a salary, I think the fans should afford him alot of respect.

Dos was great to come over and encourage the fans behind the goal to stay with his young team
How young is the team?

I agree with every word of that, I just thought that Sutton fans already knew it.

Obviously Goodliffe and Pouton are in their 30's but the rest of them are mostly early 20's. The team is a much younger than last season's that's for sure.

Well OS, that knowledge was possibly not on display yesterday.

A supporter should never slag off their own team in earshot of the players or opposing fans while a game is being played.
On the internet or in the pub afterwards fine, but never in the situations above.

Thats crap.If i don't think a player is pulling his weight i'll let him know. However having said that i haven't done that since Ball left although i was very tempted with Chukki! However Dos did assure me that Chukki would score plenty of goals!

One of the other amusing things on saturday was when one of the Margate players kicked the ball out of play just missing their photographer. The ref came up to him and said"Did you get that one?"
Of course and i'm surprised no one mentioned it.There was the bit of argy bargy with Dos and the stewards in the first half. Was he just warming up for Tonbridge?

You got to show unity - booing your own players will only help the opposition. I was brought up as an MUFC fan - even during the dark days of the 1980s the Stretford End would never boo nor jeer any player wearing the shirt. On another tangent - it always makes me laugh when I see lardy ole gimmers telling footballers what to do and how to do it...like they could do better!

Not all of them though.
My point is more that your opinion doesn't immediately become wrong just because you haven't been in that situation yourself.
Peoples respect for that opinion might change but the concrete fact of whether what you are saying is right or wrong doesn't.

As a Sutton supporter I would never shout abuse at one of the players. How would that make him play better? Fans who shout abuse at players are like the same idiots who 'encourage' their own children at youth games around the country. If a player is giving less than 100% for the team don't you think the manager won't deal with the problem? We all get frustrated at matches it just takes a little self control. Just remember without the poor performances the better ones would never seem as good
