Answer to first question: he picked up a knock in the game! Do you not read the managers column? No,sorry i didn't see it.Was he OK for just 20 minutes then ? What sort of injury is it that allows you to play only for a certain amount of time ? I expect Watts has the same kind of thing ? Charlie Taylor clattered one of the Bobbins defenders with a shoulder charge. He floored the enemy, despite being a few inches shorter. However he hurt his collarbone in the encounter and was withdrawn from battle later.

The thing is, once again after a decent result we put out 11 players who look like they've never kicked a ball in their lives. I'm sorry, but this side really REALLY needs to start showing up on a more regular basis.
We've spent all season looking for some consistency in the performances and to be perfectly frank, I don't think we're any closer to finding it.
Making the play-offs will have as much to do with how dreadful this division is as our own efforts.

Taz is the most negative Sutton fan at the moment and i claim my 5 pounds!!!
It seems we were singing a nice song about Dipre and he was standing in front of us at the time, even shook my hand, saying "i'm Paul" to which i replied, so am i! Didn't believe it was him but from a description we got of him in the pub sounds like it was!!

I have to agree that the quality of football in the RP has been quite poor and that is why we are still firmly in contention for a PO spot along with about 15 other sides. Consistency is the key and unlike last season with Staines we can beat anyone in the table if we put in a half decent performance. Whilst I agree yesterdays performance was way below par, we did not lose and came away with a point from what was always going to be a tough match against rivals we beat 3-0 last week and on a very hard pitch.
Our form is DWWD another W in their this Sat starts to look like a bit of consistency to me and would leave us unbeaten in 5 our longest run of the season without defeat?
So its not all bad is it?

Its not bad but what i worry about is not that we won't make the playoffs but we will be below Wealdstone. We don't have a very good record at their place.

But that's what local derbies are supposed to be like! On Boxing Day, Bobbins didn't match our level of commitment and as a result the U's played some good football and won 3-0. Clearly the Bobbins weren't about to let that happen again. As a result, there was very little time for anyone to control the ball or play decent football. What do you expect? I enjoyed the match - despite the lack of "football" the result was in doubt right to the end and I credit our lads for standing up against a team that were really fired up for it. If you want to be purist, why would you watch football at this level?

Reading reports of Saturdays game the Smith who played for the Bobbins turned out for us last season and was he not called Delando Smith or is this someone else?

Delando Smith was at Horsham last I heard. Fairly sure he played against us in the League cup tie at their place a few weeks back....

I'm not aware that Orlando has, but I think I know why you might think he has. When Delando made his debut in a friendly at Uxbridge, I was told that his name was Orlando, and put two and two together, made five, and wrote in the match report that it was the player who had scored for Welling against us the previous season. I can remember having to email the local press a couple of days later to correct the mistake before anyone from Welling got upset.
