Only someone with the brains of a dead ant would oppose Fola Orilonishe.

I thought we were excellent tonight. Seemed to go for it from the start and played some really good stuff. Fola continues to impress and really good for Richard to get his first league goal. Great stuff and a really enjoyable night. Lets hope we keep it up on Saturday.

Fola and Kes had great games ;D I'm sure the news of the goal scorers will go down well on the other side of town

Sorry to disagree Billy. Thought his final ball let him down tonight. He'll get there though. Given the number it times he got in behind with oceans of time and space he should have put a couple on a plate and/or scored himself. Still impressed with what he offers though and I'm sure he'll do very well.

Only someone with the brains of a dead ant would oppose Fola Orilonishe. You should have seen him against the pigs week last Saturday

Well 2-0 is flattering to Horsham 5 or 6 would have been a fairer reflection on the game we carved them open time and time again with pace for which they had little answer. The only concern for a while when it was 1-0 if Horsham were going to nick a draw as they did threaten on a couple of occasions, but Jolly receiving the best pass of the game (40 yards) superb control in the box to loop over the advancing keeper to make it 2-0 ended any real nerves. The workwork yet again took a pounding being hit 3 times tonight making the total now 10 times in 8 matches all of which have bounced to safety? Dundo's post was more a poor miss than unlucky though but the play should have been bought back for a foul of Jolly who was bundled over in the area for what appeared to be a clear cut penalty? Fola was unlucky not to score from his terrific shot which the keeper just got his fingertips too and push onto the bar. All in all a excellent performance from back to front with the defence really looking solid and in control all night in the air and on the ground. 3 slight moans about tonight, we need just a little more composure in the final third we have the pace to give the time to take the right options and don't need to rush the final ball. Second gripe was I thought the ref was poor, allowing persistent fouls from Horsham to go unpunished in the first half, missing a blatant penalty, not allowing advantage in one second half incident, and for allowing the Horsham keeper to con him. The Horsham keeper stayed down uninjured and hardly touched by Wattsy with the sole purpose of getting a him yellow card, I bet all the girls used to call him a creep? Onwards and upwards

I thought the officials were refreshingly non-whistle/non-flag tonight, for Ryman standards.

Agree the ref let some stuff go. The game was better for it. There are much much worse out there. Poss one missed yellow apart he did ok.

We should have scored more given the number of openings we created, but the three points were what really mattered. Horsham showed more attacking intent than Concord, and this was a much more open match than Saturday's. Richard Jolly was again closed down quickly, but his goal when it came was the sort of accomplished finish we lacked last season. It was obvious from his celebration that it meant a lot to him. We've now got four points, which is more than we had after two games last season and the one before. But we need to win again this Saturday to keep ahead of last season.

Well that was totally different from Saturday!
1st off, have to agree with all the other posters we should of won 4 or 5 nil tonight, easily. Fola was immense IMO, Horsham couldn't live with him all evening. As mentioned above KES and AJ were solid at the back. And Scriven made a great save from Horsham's only relay shot on target. My only gripe with tonight was the ability to hit the woodwork, nearly caused some nervous moments! But I was really pleased with the performance tonight, and it could definitly tell with the players some of whom may of had points to prove after Saturday. Jolly's goal was rather nice, lifting it perfectly between the 'keepers arms.
It was also good to see so many kids at the game, in Sutton merchandise. Hope for the future. There's definitly a positive vibe going round this club at the moment, let's hope it continues untill April.

Looked like he was struggling with his ankle at the end. I worry how it is going to last seeing as he needs an operation ... Think he maybe overstretched his groin going for a high ball in the last minutes.

Think he maybe overstretched his groin going for a high ball in the last minutes. Spoke to AJ after the game and he said that he was suffering from cramp. Nothing to worry about. Dos said in the Q&A meeting that AJ does not need an operation.

Better balance to the side last night than on Saturday mainly because AJ was on the left. In fact a good balance all round. Our passing was better and the chances were created. If we can get the right passes to RJ he will clearly score. Others will need to contribute to the goal count and if we can start to convert we will be a dangerous attacking team. The defence looks determined and the defending in front of them was also good for most of last night's match. Last night we looked more of a team than I have seen us at the same stage in the previous two years so let's hope we can pick up plenty of points in the first part of the season. All in all last night's game was a very entertaining.

very good game should have scored more but a wins a win! BWG was also good on the right although did not have as much success as Fola. I think Fola could have done better with carrying the ball into the box a bit more often. Scriven made a couple of tidy saves when he was called into action

Much better than saturday. Just seemed a bit more lively all round.
Fair play to Horsham. Mr Maggs has 'em playing some decent football and they came to have a go and they contributed to an entertaining game.
As for us, just need a tiny bit more composure at times, but it's getting there. Good to see the front 2 off the mark, especially Jolly. It was just getting to the point where I thought he might get frustrated with not hitting the back of the net when he took his chance. Great composure. A lot of people would have tried to lash it from there.
Good 3 points. Up & running.
