Boring game it certainly wasn't and we deserved at least a draw. Both teams went for the win which produced an open end to end game.Unfortunate to give away a penalty so close to the end.Much better team performance than against Dorchester.

Until the 75th minute it was all going so well. True it was a boring game, but we were creating chances and heck we even converted one, McBean scoring a rather nice goal. 1st goal was the result of a rather stupid corner given away and the 2nd a late penalty for handball. There were signs of hope tonight, McBean had a decent game, but as much as i like Watkins we need a proper target man. Also Gonsalves needs to sort himself out.

Both teams were let down by their finishing: there were several chances at each end and the result could easily have gone our way. But we don't seem to be getting a lot of luck these days.
There was a sequence of unfortunate incidents in the build-up to their equaliser. First, Craig Watkins just failed to control a ball by the touch-line, conceding a throw-in. That set up a H&Y attack which we stopped at the expense of a free kick. That was going harmlessly out for a goal kick, but our last defender had his back to the play and didn't get a call so touched the ball out for a corner. From that, H&Y scored.

We're not good enough. Unless there's a huge turnaround, we're in for a season long relegation battle. And the way we're going, it'll be a short battle at that.
Is it just me who thinks we've been toilet since we've tried to accomodate Gonsalves back in the side??

I am with Taz on this, it was a very poor performance against another poor side, although I thought Lewis played well but am not sure that AJ knows what he is doing. I don't understand Nick G not starting. We have totally lost our passing game and confidence which is why we conceeded the equaliser. We have decent players yet no striker and all are playing as individuals. Dwelling on the ball because there is no one making themselves available and lack of support for forward players when attacking.
Its not good enough and I think that the responsibility lies with the management team who should be considering their postions. My belief in Hazel and Massey is fading fast I am afraid....

Why do we sit back as soon as we go 1 up? It happens time and time again, and we're just not good enough to be able to absorb any extended amount of pressure.
I don't know how long IH has got, but this is turning out to be a complete and utter disaster. Unless things make a dramatic change for the better VERY soon, we've got to face facts that we'll be facing a losing battle. Cambridge and WSM coming up with an FA Cup game in between - 3 wins is a must or it's no way back for us. Isthmian league football awaits.
Where have the Brentford lads gone?
And, sorry to say it, but we've looked absolutely crap since Lewis came back into the side.

Err, the Brentford lads have gone.
Make of that what you will.
Lewis wasn't actually bad tonight but i'd just rather not have the balance of the side messed up for somebody who had to come crawling back to us.

This is getting a bit silly now. Looking at some of the players we have, we can compete at this level, so why are we being so toilet? Tonight, with the penalty, it was possibly a bit unlucky. But to be honest we had our chances, and yet again we failed to take them. We all still need to get behind the team as always, but i'm sure i'm not alone saying that our motivation and heart is starting to lack.
For the first time in a long time during those last ten minutes I began to question 'Why do I bother coming'. Anyone with any brain at all will not spend their hard earned money or want to be disappointed every week. I'm quite ashamed I thought that tonight, but the start of this season has made me think like this, and i'm very sad it has. Not normally known for my pessimism, I'm already thinking that I will be travelling to Cambridge knowing we will suffer another defeat.
