That's 5 out of the last 6 league games where we haven't scored, the only exception being the game vs Bromley.

At least the performance was an improvement on Tuesday's! We did force a few decent saves from their keeper, and if points were awarded for corners won we'd have been laughing. Tom's let in one well-struck goal and made a great stop later in the second half, but otherwise he wasn't much tested. That's four defeats in our last six league games and, as noted above, we failed to score in five of those. It doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to work out where our main problem lies. After the Bromley game we were still talking about the play-offs. Now the priority must be getting enough points in the bag to stay clear of the bottom three.

Although it was the same scoreline as Tuesday it would be unfair to compare it to the dross we witnessed on Tuesday. Today we have a little more about us and certainly looked more positive. I think there should be a lot of credit paid to Farnborough's keeper for doing the business to stop the couple of really decent efforts (especially Dundo's header) in the 2nd half.
Sadly enough though seems like we are having the same problems - not being able to really test the opponents keeper more often. If a keeper plays a blinder fair enough, but we need to give them the opportunity to. We had some great build up play today, but lacked the final ball.
I hope Tom Jordan is ok - was a huge blow to lose him too early, and credit to Dos for replacing him with Chris B rather than a more obvious choice of Boateng and shifting Downer to centre back. Had Jordan not been lost and we moved to 3 at the back, I doubt we'd have given Tarpey the space to score, what I though was a cracking goal.
Lovelock didn't have too much to do, but when he needed to he did what he should have. He is doing himself no harm at all with his recent performances. But, as has haunted us all season, we're still lacking up front.
I still believe however that there is some sort of lack of harmony on the pitch. I've got my theories about this, but a public forum isn't the place for this - but I've noticed more and more the number of times that players are getting angry, frustrated and annoyed with each other. I don't see the team training, and by all reports they work hard and get on well in training. Somehow that's not translating itself in match performances.

Not alot to add to be honest. Thought both teams tried to play football on a difficult service (well, in some areas it was) although nothing like the mud of Woking last Sat. Once again though, it's the goals for column that wasn't altered today. Yep, their 'keeper measured up to all we got on target (somewhat flamboyantly in a couple of caes) but we really need to be burying opportunities. Their fellow took his chance well and that was enough for them to get all 3 points.
Obviously not helped by Tom's injury which was totally avoidable as he was given the ball under pressure when we really should be looking to go forward. He also got booked for his trouble!
Play-off hopes surely over and we need to arrest this run of recent results to ensure we don't get dragged into the punch up at the bottom of the table.
Finally, another ref who was quite happy to see the ball kicked away well after the whistle was blown and did bugger all when they slowed the game down (can't blame them for doing that).
As for Billy going early, well there was rugby on the box at 5 and I hope he enjoyed watching England get a pasting.

I agree with Andy K that on the pitch, something is not quite right. I can't put my finger on it exactly but there does not seem to be the camaraderie that teams need when things are not going well.
As for the game today, I didn't think we were an awful lot better than Tuesday. Some good stuff in midfield but final ball useless and not enough to trouble their goalie. Then we give a goal away (albeit a well taken one) and I never really believed we would get a goal back.
I know it must have been a hard decision to pick a MOTM today but god knows what Joke Klub were thinking picking Marvs. I thought Comic Relief was yesterday!
We need to turn this round soon before we start looking over our shoulders at the bottom end of the table.

im surprised you lasted that long billy... I almost beat my own record and went home after about 20 minutes.I was just about to leave at halftime when i got talking to someone who had walked in for nothing during the break. He would be perfectly entitled to claim that getting in for nothing is too dear ;D Good point about their goalie , i thought his Mum must be in the stand taking photos. On one occasion , he caught the ball , then dived !

Two awful defeats in a week. We will end up exactly where we should be, mid table mediocrity. Rather than "Boost The Budget" how about "We need a striker who can score goals!"
